Chapter 13
Vee
Theclubhouseairisthick with smoke and the heavy thump of bass and heavy metal blasting from the speakers. Luca warned me there was going to be a party tonight and that I could come and have fun under his watchful eye or hide away in my room. I debated it for a minute. But after being in the room all day since breakfast, I needed some air and a stiff drink.
“What do you want to drink, VeeVee?” Luca holds up a bottle of Tequila and a bottle of beer.
My eyes drift between them as I gnaw on my bottom lip before firmly declaring, “Both.”
He laughs but hands them to me as he grabs a bottle of Jack and a beer for himself. “Nic and a couple of the guys are playing cards over in the corner. Want to go join them?” His eyes scan around the room and I can see the tightness in his shoulders. He’s uncomfortable. But not about what’s happening, because I’m beside him while it’s happening.
“Are they any good?” I ask, a plan already forming in my head.
He tilts his head to the side, raising his eyebrow in question. “Yeah. When they’re sober. Not so much when they aren’t. Why?”
I rub the palms of my hands together in front of my face, fighting back the devilish grin that wants to take over.
“No reason.”
Luca lets out a belly wrenching laugh as he wraps his arm around my shoulders and steers me across the room, bypassing the debauchery taking place. “This is going to be fun,” he exclaims as I lean my head into him.
Sitting at the table in the corner is Nic, and two other brothers—Jax and Marco—hunched over their chips and cards. Nic is slouching in his chair, his broad shoulders tense, a perpetual scowl on his face as he gazes at his hand then at the other two men.
Luca gestures me toward the empty chair beside Nic before pulling over one for himself. “Deal us in for the next hand,” he tells them.
“You know how to play poker?” Marco asks.
“Never played, but Luca explained it to me.” I bat my lashes at him pretending to be sincere with my words.
“Hate to take your money, sweetie,” Jax starts but Luca clears his throat loudly. Jax laughs, barely able to get the rest of his sentence out. “Right, Vee. Hate to take your money, but I ain’t noevery kid gets a trophykind of man.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t want you to be. If I want to play with the big dogs, I need to be prepared to lose.” I add a wink just for fun. I watch them intently, learning all their tells as they finish their hand. “Can I deal?”
“Yeah,” Jax says as he lays down his cards causing Nic to groan.
Everyone slides their cards over to me and I pick them up holding the cards in my hand awkwardly, luring the men seatedat the table into a false sense of security. I shift my eyes between them then smirk. Their mouths drop as I begin to shuffle the deck of cards, the worn edges familiar under my fingers.
“You sneaky woman,” Marco says appraisingly. “You’ve played before.”
“Maybe.” I smile widely as Luca drops his head to the table laughing.
"This is bullshit," Nic grumbles, glancing at his cards before tossing a chip into the pot without looking up. "We could've made it strip poker. Liven things up a bit." His eyes flick toward me, a mischievous glint in them.
Luca stands, reaching his long arms above my head, delivering a sharp slap to the back of Nic's head. The crack echoing louder than the music for a split second as Nic’s head flies forward. "Watch your mouth, idiot," Luca growls, his voice heavy with warning. "That's my sister you're talking about. Show some damn respect."
Nic lifts his hand rubbing the back of his head as he mumbles something unintelligible under his breath.
I drop my head, laughing loudly. "Aww poor Nicky, do you have a boo boo now?” I tease and then decide to taunt him a little more. “You'd lose your shirt first, anyway."
We play a few hands, and I lose the first, toying with them like a predator with her prey before I jump in head first and win the next three games in a row. With each passing minute, I manage to drink half a bottle of tequila, allowing my mind to wander to other things other than the card game. The clubhouse pulses with life around us, and my gaze drifts, unable to stay focused on the table.
Brothers from the club are scattered throughout the room, a chaotic blur of leather cuts, tattoos, and alpha male energy. Over by the bar, a group of them stand around the wooden counter, laughing boisterously as they swap stories about the latest runthey were on. Further back, near the pool tables, a few more guys rack up balls, cues cracking against them as the men’s loud voices cut through the air like a knife. There’s a couple of practically naked club girls moving between them, hanging on their every word.
I fold, allowing the game to continue as my eyes roam the room landing on the couches along the far wall. There’s a couple of men sitting on the couch, legs spread wide. One has a bleach blonde club girl straddling his lap. She’s bouncing on the burly biker's cock, her skirt hiked up around her waist, tits spilling out of her top as she rides him in reverse. The biker's hands grip her hips, guiding her faster, his grunts mixing with her high-pitched moans.
A brunette club girl is kneeling between the other guy's legs, her head bobbing furiously on his cock, while he tangles his fingers in her hair, pushing her head down further on his shaft.
My breath hitches and I shift in my seat, heat building between my legs as I fight back a moan. The drinking, along with missing the three men who occupy my thoughts, has the events happening around me affecting me more than I imagined. Across the room, two women are tangled together on the dance floor, their bodies slick with sweat as they make out. Their tongues tangled together as their hands roam each other’s naked bodies. One is kneading the other's breast while the other’s hand is rubbing the other’s clit.
