“Bastards! You’ll pay for this—” Her shriek cut off, and a vehicle roared to life. Pebbles shooting out from under the tires sounded.

“Annoying bitch,” Kyan muttered, nestling into my neck. I gritted my teeth, my temper finally flaring. I managed to get a smidgen of control.

“You guys were seeing Alice, too, weren’t you?” I already knew the answer, but I wanted to hear the confirmation.

“What?” Pure avoidance in his tone. I wouldn’t be fooled.

He propped his arms under my ass and straightened. Balancing my weight, he walked, still fully seated inside me.

“Don’t insult me,” I hissed.

His mouth thinned. “Stop talking about other women. Especially while I’m inside your sweet pussy.”

That was all the confirmation I needed.

“You guys really have a thing for Omegas, huh?” I mumbled. The sting in my heart bloomed wider, allowing a foothold to the shadows spawning around my thoughts.

He swatted my ass, and my channel clamped around him. “Liked that?” He smiled.

I glared up at him.

“Where are we going?” He’d already crossed the kitchen entrance.

“My room.”

He rendered me silent with his response. When he walked into the junction, where four doors faced the entrance, he went through the one on the left. A hand left my ass, and the wood creaked behind me. He walked in and went directly to the bed.

Just as he reached the mattress, his knot gave way, and our need dripped down my legs.

“Ffffuck,” he hissed, his eyes closing as a shudder worked over him.

In the same breath, he drove his hips up, gliding inside my wet channel.

After lowering me to the bed, he rested me on the edge, his hands on my ass to keep me hovering. He thrust, and it jolted the bed frame. He settled into a hard, needy pace, the slap of our flesh meeting, making slick seep out of me embarrassingly quickly.

“How much time passed between when you were with the girl that knocked on the door and when you guys were with Alice?”

Kyan sighed, eyebrows furrowed, his dark irises flicked over my face, and his expression softened. “I’ll answer all your questions later.” His mouth covered mine, and he nibbled down to my jaw, successfully distracting me—the bastard.

I moaned, raising my hips. He slammed his knot into me, the pressure rubbing against my clit and throwing me into another orgasm.

Chapter 15

“And you guys kicked Demi out?” I leaned forward on the edge of the coffee table to touch Kyan’s knee. He sat on the couch, reclining with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Demi, the woman that had been knocking on the door. Her name soured on my tongue, but I held steady. After all, it was my fault, he’d tried to avoid every single question like it was a plague, but I wasn’t one to give up.

“Yes. She becametoo much.” His nose twitched up, wrinkling the base of it. I didn’t know Demi, but they weren’t easy Alphas. I didn’t doubt they had a huge part in making her “too much.”

I hummed, studying the discomfort beginning to line the furrow of his eyebrows. He kept looking to the side, like he couldn’t wait to escape.

Prying information out of Kyan was like pulling teeth. But I had plenty of experience getting people to talk. Determined was one of the key words my bosses always tossed around in myyearly reviews . . . Plus, I found that flirting got me leeway, as opposed to the more aggressive stance I’d taken when I’d first started asking questions.

“We’ve been avoiding her, but she must have gotten into Sin’s cell phone. The idiot refuses to put a passcode. Now I have to update all our passwords.” His jaw ticked. “I’ve answered enough?—”

I squeezed his knee, not letting him go. “Kyan.” I kept my voice low, verging on whiny.

“You’re relentless,” he said with a breathy laugh. “It’s not avoidance. She just won’t let things be. I should have remembered to close the gate behind us. Now that the guards have been dismissed for a few weeks, it’ll be easier for people to sneak in.” His lips flattened. “Don’t open the door. Ever.”

“And Alice Lane was another ex?”
