I slid my hand over his thigh and into the gap between his boxers, gripping his length. He was already hard. I moved closer to him then started easing the boxers down, planting kisses along his waistline.
“I need to run,” he barked into the phone. The next thing I knew, he’d slammed his phone onto the table and leaned back in the chair to give me more access to his body. “Damn it, what are you doing to me?”
I laughed in between kisses. “Showing you my appreciation for this wonderful trip. And paying you back for not letting me kiss youright herelast night.”
I’d worked his boxers far enough down that his dick was free and standing at full attention. I waited until he looked into my eyes, then slowly lowered myself closer to him, never breaking off eye contact.
“Nina, we shouldn’t?—”
I noticed that he didn’t move away from me, so I kept getting closer to the monster between his legs until I slowly slid my lips over the tip.
“Ohshit,” he whispered when I finally had his full length in my mouth. Which wasn’t easy given his size.
Challenge accepted.
I worked him slowly, pressing my tongue against him as I glided my mouth up and down his hardness.
“Please don’t stop,” he whispered. “Ever.”
I would’ve smiled at the compliment, but I was getting way too into my work. I gripped the base of his cock tightly as I took him in and out of my mouth, trying not to be greedy about where I actually wanted to put it. Hopefully, we’d have plenty of time for an act two.
“I’m not going to last—” he managed in a strained voice.
I could feel the early pulses of pleasure, so I picked up my pace. I was so focused on making him feel good that I barely heard the phone ring.
Logan sat up a little and reached for it.
I moved away from him for a second. “Don’t youdareanswer that.”
“No, you don’t understand,” Logan said as he picked up his phone.
What the hell?
I sat backward onto my heels, indignant and hurt that he valued taking another business call over getting the world’s most incredible blow job. I felt my face go hot and reached for the robe I’d tossed away.
“It’s Josie, something must be wrong at home.”
The tone in his voice changed everything. This wasn’t another business call.
“She knows not to call unless something’s really wrong.”
I sat down on the chair next to him. “Oh no.”
He connected the call. “What’s going on, Josie?”
I sat down in the chair across from him and watched his tense expression as he listened to her.
“Seriously? Did Mrs. Miller help at all?” He listened again, frowning. “Okay, okay, got it. Can you put him on?”
Logan covered the phone. “Bad dream. He woke up crying, and he won’t stop. He won’t say what it was about, but I’m guessing it’s his mom.”
My heart hurt for Noah. The ebb and flow of grief was expected, but that didn’t stop it from feeling like a shock when it played out like this.
Logan’s face transformed when Noah got on the line, like he knew he had to amp up the cheer to counterbalance whatever Noah was facing. “Hey, Noey! We’re on our way back now. Yup, Nina is right here too. Do you want to tell me about the dream?” He listened. “Okay, I’ll put you on speaker.”
He shot me a look and placed the phone on the table between us.
“Hello?” Noah’s little voice sounded quiet and shaky.
