As I think about it, I realize he’s more or less correct. None of the men at auction ejaculated, and that’s too recent to make a difference in impregnating Cassidy.

“There were several hours of the assault on day two of our…whatever this was,” I say with a wince.

“I see,” the doctor says with a nod. “She’s been pregnant for longer than that, so there’s no need to worry. Congratulations. If Cassidy has believed that she’s unable to get pregnant, this will be a surprise.”

I can hear in his words that he’s worried it’ll be an unwelcome surprise. I’m going to be Scarlett O’Hara right now and worry about it tomorrow.

“Please allow us to break the news to her,” I say without thought. “No one else is to talk to her about this.”

“I agree,” Abbott says, approval shimmering inside of him. “This is pack business, and frankly, you suck at breaking important news.”

“Thank you, Doctor,” Ansel adds. I have a feeling Abbott is usually the gentile one, but there’s very little room for that in any of us.

We’re too fucking tired.

“I suggest that you stay at the hospital for a couple of days at least to make sure that there aren’t any complications,” Dr. Marsden says sternly. “Cassidy will need to stay until she’s cleared by surgery. There’s also a possibility of blood clots for Bellamy. Please stay.”

“Understood,” Abbott says. “Thank you. What room is Cassidy in?”

The doctor rattles off a room number and then runs off as quickly as possible.

“I should go see her,” Abbott breathes.

“The three of you should,” I say.

“No offense, Kitten, but we’re not leaving any of you alone again,” Shiloh says.

“Can we push the beds together?” Bellamy asks. “Winter is too far from me.”

It takes a little maneuvering, but our alphas manage to push our beds together so Bellamy and I can hold hands. Our machines had to be pushed around, yet we managed.

“I’m off,” Abbott promises, kissing us both. “I want you to know, Winter, that I’m excited about the baby. However, you can have whatever feelings you have about it. This is fast.”

“Our entire relationship has been fast,” I say with a small smile. “I don’t think I’m upset. I’m…happy and processing. I also am in awe and hate that the baby went through the stress I did.”

“The baby is very well insulated in your body,” Ansel says softly, watching me. “Now, can I climb in with you? The three of us can sleep, and I did promise to scare away the nightmares.”

“Will you fit?” I ask, smirking.

“Watch me,” he growls, moving to where the beds meet in the middle and climbing in. It’s a tight fit, but he manages.

“Damn, I’m sad that I didn’t think of that first,” Shiloh mutters. “We have people watching the door so you can sleep.”

At my raised brow, he shakes his head.

“Let me rephrase that, Kitten. We have Henri and Greig at the door.”

The two men hear their name, and pop their heads in.

“Need anything?” Greig asks.

“No, but I’m glad you’re watching out for us,” I admit. “Thank you.”

“It’s our pleasure, Miss,” Henri says, moving back to his position.

“Shi, come with me. You have to be crawling out of your skin,” Abbott grunts.

“I am,” he admits, almost appearing guilty.
