She’s stunning.

“How could I not,” she says softly. “I think I fell in love with you here that night.”

I’m taken aback, my heart catching in a sudden skip. The way I remember that night, the first time we were here, she was a mess. Sad. Scared. And I just wanted to fix it, to make her feel safe. Never did I imagine I’d be the one leaving a mark that deep.

“Really?”

“Really.” A slow smile spreads across her face. “You brought me to this beautiful place, and you were so concerned for me. Someone you hardly knew. I knew in that moment that I could never settle for anyone who wasn’t…just like you. Confident, caring, sexier than hell.”

I let out a quiet laugh, but it catches in my chest, right where pride knots disbelief and awe.

She looks around, taking in the view, resting her chin on my shoulder. “It’s just as beautiful as I remember. More so, really.”

It’s dark and still around us, the world holding its breath. The only sounds are the whisper of the night and the rapid thrum of my heartbeat, loud enough that I’m sure she can hear it, too.

“That’s because you’re looking at it, love,” I say, turning to face her fully. “Everything’s more beautiful with you in it.”

She rolls her eyes, but the blush spreading across her cheeks gives her away. “Smooth talker.”

“Only stating facts.”

I take her hand, leading her to the edge where the guardrail meets the cliff. “I wanted to bring you here again to make new memories. Better ones.”

Bree leans into me. “I like that idea.”

Ican’t stop staring at Callan, all broad shoulders and that strong jawline I could trace with my eyes for hours. Can’t stop staring at the view we’re not even close to leaving.

We haven’t moved from this spot, and I don’t think I want to. It’s too perfect here, tooright.

“I can’t believe you’re really mine,” I whisper as he pulls back to look at me. His eyes search mine, like he’s trying to make sure I’m really here, reallyhis. Then he traces a finger across my cheekbone, the touch gentle but sending a spark straight to my heart. His hand comes to cup my face, pulling me in for another tender kiss, and every inch of my body tingles with anticipation as he slowly pulls away.

“All yours. Can I let you in on a little fantasy of mine?” His voice drops lower, all velvet temptation.

“Hm, sure. I bet you I have an idea of where this is going, though.”

He chuckles, a deep rumble that vibrates in my own chest. “I doubt it, love. This one’s been brewing for a while.”

I raise an eyebrow, intrigued. “Oh? Do tell.”

He leans in close, his breath warm against my ear, his voice just a whisper. “You naked on the back of my bike, hot and ready for me.”

My breath catches in my throat, and I don’t know whether to laugh or kiss him senseless. A blush creeps up my neck, coloring my cheeks as I try to maintain composure. The heat in his eyes only makes it worse—no,better. It’s a fire I absolutely want to throw myself into.

“Well, you certainly know how to make a girl feel special.” I lean in closer, letting my lips brush against his ear as I whisper, “What are you waiting for?”

His eyes darken with lust at my words, and before I can catch my breath, his muscular arm wraps possessively around my waist. He pulls me flush against him, and I feel the weight of his need as he grinds his hips into mine in a slow, deliberate movement that sends a jolt of desire through me.

“You don’t need to tell me twice,” he growls before he claims my mouth in a kiss that is pure hunger. I respond instinctively, my hands tangling in his hair, the taste of him intoxicating.

There’s a thrill of danger and excitement at the thought of being caught out here, exposed under the open sky. There’s also something about the rawness of it, the urgency, that makes everything else fade away. I let him peel off my clothes, piece by piece, until I stand before him, completely exposed, the night air teasing my skin.

He lifts me onto the bike, spreading my legs. “Fuck, how did I get this lucky?” he groans, palming his hard length straining against the denim of his jeans.

My heart races as I meet his gaze, his broad frame outlined by the moonlight, the leather of his jacket catching in the glow. He radiates confidence, strength, and a quiet power that makes me feel both safe and charged all at once.
