“A woman after my own heart,” Taryn said.

“Not your heart—just your body.” Cassie arched her eyebrow and enjoyed Taryn’s gulp. Just her body. But maybe not just once. Taryn would be here for a while. What would be the harm in a regular tryst when their chemistry was this explosive?

Chapter Nine

Taryn couldn’t get the door open fast enough. She fumbled the card key, and it dropped to the floor. When she bent over to scoop it up, Cassie grabbed her ass. The strength with which she squeezed surprised Taryn, and she jumped forward, knocking her head against the wall. She scrambled back up and held the plastic card out. “I’ve got a concussion; you better operate the heavy machinery.”

Cassie took the card and pressed her body against Taryn’s. “We better get you straight to bed before you collapse.”

Taryn wrapped her hand around Cassie’s neck and pulled her in, desperate to finally kiss her.

Cassie put her finger between their lips and shook her head. “No public displays of affection.”

Taryn stepped aside while Cassie opened the door. “What do you call that grab-ass move?” She held the door open and enjoyed watching Cassie slip past her. Her rear view was almost as alluring as the front.

“That was a necessity,” Cassie said and turned around.

“So is this.” Taryn closed the door with her foot, swiftly covered the short distance between them, and took Cassie in her arms. She guided her to the wall and crushed her lips to Cassie’s.

Cassie dragged her fingernails through Taryn’s hair and returned her kiss with a hard and hungry passion that swept through Taryn’s body, and she tingled from her lips to her toes.

Cassie pulled away and whispered, “Rach thinks you can bench press cars; does that mean you’re strong enough to pick me up?”

Taryn gave a small smile and pressed herself harder against Cassie’s body. “Yeah. Easily.”

Cassie wriggled her hands between them, placed them on Taryn’s chest, and pushed away. At least she tried to push her away, but Taryn stood firm.

Cassie moaned quietly and pressed her fingers into Taryn’s chest. “You’re very hard.”

“I bet you say that to all the bois,” Taryn murmured before she scooped Cassie up in her arms and headed to the bedroom. All that working out was good for more than just her long-term health. Carrying a beautiful woman to her bed was something she’d enjoyed being able to do since she’d started building her body seriously. Likely it was a product of watching so many movies when the guy picks up the beautiful woman. There was just something so primal about it.

Cassie ran her nails along Taryn’s neck and kissed the side of her face. “That’s a nice view.”

Taryn growled at her touch. “Me or the Strip?”

“Both.”

Taryn walked across the living room to the floor-to-ceiling windows and looked down at the chaise longue. “I’ve been wondering what that ridiculous piece of furniture is for. Maybe it’s specifically for sex with a view.” She wiggled her eyebrows. “Andi will be back in a couple of hours. I’d have to put my tie on the door if that’s what you wanted.”

Cassie fingered Taryn’s tie and shook her head. “I want you to keep this on during sex, so I’ll pass.”

“I do have a desk close to the window in my room.”

Cassie dragged her fingernail over Taryn’s bottom lip. “Sex on a desk… Isn’t that too cliché?”

Taryn turned from the window and continued to the bedroom. “I love a good cliché.” She bounced Cassie in her arms. “Like this, for instance. Carrying a beautiful woman to bed.” She kicked open her door and then shoved it closed with her ass. “And maybe one woman’s cliché is another woman’s fantasy.” Taryn moved to the side of the bed and gently lowered Cassie to it. She got on her knees and trailed her fingers from the top of Cassie’s foot and along her leg. As tempted as she was to get down to it, she resisted the urge and continued over the edge of Cassie’s dress up to her hips. She rested her hand there and looked up at Cassie. Her hair was spread out across the comforter, its dark brown a stark contrast against the snow-white sheets. In the light provided from the glare of the Strip’s neon and the soft glow of the bedside lamps, Cassie looked stunning. The rise and fall of her chest was almost hypnotic, and Taryn licked her upper lip, the taste of Cassie’s mouth a sweet promise of what the rest of her would taste like.

“Are you my fantasy or am I yours?” Cassie asked and tugged Taryn’s tie.

“Both,” Taryn said and grinned.

“In that case…” Cassie pushed up and turned ninety degrees on the bed. She pulled her dress up onto her waist and put her heels to either side of Taryn’s head. “Dinner was foreplay, handsome.” She hooked her finger beneath her thong and pulled it aside, opening herself up. “Show me what you can do with that pretty mouth of yours.”

The scent of Cassie’s desire hit Taryn’s nose, and she swallowed hard. She didn’t respond. No more words were needed. She placed her hands on Cassie’s hips and pulled her closer, then she tugged Cassie’s thong off and dropped it to the floor. Taryn lowered her head and slowly traced her tongue from the bottom to the top of Cassie’s sex. Cassie pushed her hips up to meet her, and Taryn eased off. She kissed Cassie’s inner thighs and worked her way down to the crease, making sure to blow hot breaths onto Cassie’s hardened clit.

“I told you…”

Taryn smiled at the way Cassie no longer controlled her tone. Her husky breathiness just made Taryn want to tease her longer. “You told me what?” she asked, back in the familiar top position for the first time inanyof their previous encounters.
