You said you didn’t want to change me, us. And this is us being us.

We protect what and who we care about and the three of us care about you more than you could ever imagine.

Irrevocably and wholly, you are our person. The four of us, no matter the outcome, will be forever linked.

Cole will find something on my father. I know he will. That, paired with our surrender, should protect you.

You were wrong in your note to me. It’s way more scary to have nothing than to have something. With everything I have, I know now there is nothing to be afraid of.

This isn’t goodbye.

It’s a see you soon, gorgeous.

Fucking Bryson.

Tears streamed down Adria’s face as she called Maxim.

“I need a plane.”

He cleared his throat. “When?”

“Ten minutes ago.”

Adria clutched the phone, her knuckles turning white. Elena confirmed the boys had boarded a flight an hour ago. Using their real names and passports.

It meant that every bounty hunter in the United States and around the world knew exactly where they were.

So they might not even live long enough for Callen to kill them.

Cole was talking in the backseat.

“They can’t go to Callen. There is so much chatter between him and Jonathan, there is no way he didn’t know about them or where they were.”

“Show me,” Adria said. Studying the paperwork, committing every crime to memory.

“You didn’t mention this angle before,” she said.

He fidgeted. “I didn’t know about what had happened, and Sophia instructed me to focus on Callen and Alessandro, not Jonathan.”

Adria swore. Her mother wanted this. She wanted Bryson to go down for Jonathan and for her to go free. Sophia’s plan was to get her on the Triune and she was on track to get it.

CHAPTER 65

FLIGHT TO ROME

“What is the time, El?” Adria said.

“It’s fifteen after, stop asking me,” Elena replied.

Adria tapped her knee. They weren’t going to make it.

“We’re going to make it,” Elena said.

This was a nightmare. There were ten of them on this flight.

Sota, Elena, Eric, Cole, Adria, and a few bodyguards.

Adria scanned the horizon.
