“Is she serious?” Havoc whispers in my ear.
“Deadly.” I grin back at her. “Sorry, but he didn’t make it out of my cabin. His parents are going to have to find another heir.”
“Well, that’s no fun.” She walks away, pouting.
“She scares me.” Bram stares after her. “Has she met Bishop yet? They’d be perfect for each other.”
“Talking about a party…” That’s all the warning Havoc gives me before he stands up, carrying me through the house.
“Put me down.” I try to wriggle out of his arms, which really isn’t the smartest idea.
“In a minute. I’ve got something to do.” Everyone follows him out into the front yard, gathering around.
Is this some weird biker gang tradition that I don’t know about? Not that I know many…any.
“Since you’re all here. I wanted to officially introduce all of you to Greer Hestons, my old lady, and to announce that we’re expecting.”
A deafening cheer goes up.
“Excuse me, did he just call Greer old?” Cordelia doesn’t bother to lower her voice, though she probably thinks she’s whispering, as loud as her ears must be ringing.
“It’s a good thing,” Creed responds.
“Calling a woman old is never good.”
“Did you just claim me or something?” I ask Havoc as he walks back towards the front door.
“Sure did.”
I should be irritated, but it was kind of sweet in a weirdly noisy way. “Without asking for my permission?”
“You’re the one who asked if I was going to change my mind. I just showed you that I’m all in. It’s the four of us from now on.”
“Men usually do that with a ring when down on one knee.”
“We’ll do that too.”
The sound of my garage door opening distracts me from this kiss I was about to get from him. That man needs to learn that you don’t just confess your love to someone and forget to kiss them. “We should go inside now.”
“Greer, what is that?”
“I tried to tell you.”
“WHAT IS THAT THING IN YOUR GARAGE?”
Rogue walks out of the garage laughing like a hyena.
Havoc looks like his head is about to explode.
“Rothswyler got it for me. They’re very practical when you have children. Wait, where is he? I thought you said he helped rescue me.”
“The last time I saw him, he was in the clubhouse talking to Everett and Rage.” Creed looks around. “That’s odd. I don’t remember seeing any of them.”
“Excuse me.” A blonde woman walks up to us. “I seem to have come at the wrong time. I’m looking for Greer Hestons.”
“That’s me.” I wave from Havoc’s arms. He still seems to be in too much shock to speak or let me down. “How can I help you?”
“Rothswyler sent me. I’m your new housekeeper and nanny.”
