Shit, he’s hot.

I know he’s been giving me time to heal and settle back in, but if this man doesn’treallytouch me soon, I might spontaneously combust.

“Hello, Mr. Stavros, I’m Lawrence, and will be your point of contact while you’re with us.”

We’re given keys to our room, and Julian turns to his men.

“You two are out front. You two stay here in the lobby by the elevators. You two will be upstairs by the elevators on our floor, and the rest of you will be on patrol.”

“Boss.” They nod their heads and disperse to their positions, and with my hand in his, Julian leads me to the elevators. When we get on, two of the men join us, and two stay just outside, as ordered.

“Are we safe here?” I whisper up to him, feeling the two men behind us. “You have a lot of guys with us.”

“The most valuable asset in my life is with me,” he says simply. “And you’ll be protected at all costs.”

The elevator doors open, and we all step out, but the guards stay back as we walk to our room.

“There’s no one else on this floor,” he informs me as he unlocks the door and gestures for me to go in ahead of him.

This isn’t a hotel room. This is a luxury condo.

The color scheme is white and beige with black accents, and it’s open and breezy. The living room spills to a dining area, and a huge set of double doors lead to the bedroom, in the same colors, with a bathroom that I could get lost in. You could have a party for eight in that shower.

We could have so much fun in that shower.

But the best part? It’s the outdoor space. Both the living area and the bedroom have doors that open to the biggest balcony I’ve ever seen, with plush furniture, a fireplace, and a view that takes my breath away. We’reright onthe ocean, and the sun is hanging just above the water, making the churning water sparkle so incredibly, it brings tears to my eyes.

“This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” I say, my hands on the railing.

“I couldn’t agree more.”

I glance up and find him watching me, his jaw tense, his hands in his pockets, andGod, I love him.

He reaches out to tuck my hair behind my ear, and I don’t flinch. I haven’t flinched since that day by the pool.

Because I know, deep down, that he loves me. That he won’t ever hurt me again. The past month has been magical, full of late nights at the piano, sitting by the pool, and walks through the garden. He’snotbabysitting me, he’s spending time with me because we almost lost each other, and now we don’t want to be apart.

“What are you thinking, Angel?”

“I think I could live here,” I reply, making him smile. “It’s seriously amazing. Let’s buy the resort and come here whenever we want.”

“Done. Now?—”

“Wait, I’m kidding.”

“Do you want this place or not, Natasha? Just say the word.”

I feel my jaw go slack, and then I start to laugh because he’sabsurd.

“You would not buy this entire resort just because I love it after being here for three minutes.”

“I think you grossly underestimate exactly how much I love you and will give you anything you want,” he replies, and kisses my forehead. “But you think about it. Now, shall we have dinner up here, or do you want to go down to the restaurant?”

“Oh, can we eat out here on the patio and enjoy the view?”

“Of course.” He pulls me to him and lifts my chin, gently kisses my lips, making me want to purr. “What else do you want, baby?”

“You,” I whisper, my eyes dropping to his lips. “I just wantyou.”
