Madison introduces me. “Sara Morris, Heath Duncan.”
Heath takes my hand and kisses my knuckles. His blue eyes sparkle. “A pleasure to meet you, Sara.”
“Thank you for the assist.” I smile. Heath’s an attractive man, but he does nothing for me.
“You’re welcome. It was good seeing you, Madison. Tell Coop he owes me a call. I’ve got business to attend. Ladies.” He inclines his head and moves to the other end of the bar.
“That was weird.” Shaking my head, I climb onto my bar stool.
“I don’t think I’ve seen Heath here before,” Madison mentions as she sips her drink. “But usually I’m here with you guys and don’t pay as much attention as I probably should.”
“You didn’t tell us your father was a famous boxer.” Kayla’s green eyes focus on Hope.
“He’s been gone for a while now.” Hope takes a drink, and it’s an effective way to cut the conversation short.
Heath is talking to a guy in a black suit. The other guy looks somewhat familiar too, but I can’t place him.
My phone buzzes, distracting me. I lift it.

Let me know when to come get you

Sara’s been out of the living room for a while, so I come out of my room. Finn has the postgame shows on and Dante has his laptop open. I walk into the kitchen to look for something to drink. Today has been a shitshow since I woke up.
“She’s not here.” Finn turns the channel. “You don’t have to slink off to your room again.”
I know Dante wouldn’t let her go anywhere she wouldn’t be safe, so if he’s here...
“Is she with him?” Trying to keep the jealousy from my tone, I grab a bottle of beer and twist the lid off. It didn’t sound like she was going to Drew’s, but after this afternoon, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Maybe she’ll decide to stay at his place.
“No, she’s with her friends in the Morrigan Technology Group building.” Dante sets his laptop on the coffee table and leans back. His full attention is on me now.
Both these guys betrayed me with Sara. How long has it been going on? When she masturbated for my camera, that was for Dante.
“You missed her giving you a show.” I sit on the couch and take a swig of my beer. I sound fucking bitter because I am.
Dante smirks. “I caught her masturbating when I went in to plant the cameras. That’s when I found out her parents weren’t home. I told her I’d let her stay if she finished for me.”
I arch an eyebrow.
“Honestly, I figured she’d back down, but not Sara.” Dante chuckles.
Every challenge we threw at her as a little girl she’d do. Climb to the top of that rock. Pick up that spider. Eat the mud pie she made. That one got us in a lot of trouble when she was sick for days afterward.
