"Mari?"Caleb looked at her like she was a stranger.The disappointment in his battered face.She shook her head trying to find the words to explain this to him?
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Caleb."What the hell could she say?
"Now Mariyah, tell me again how you kissed that fucker, how it meant nothing."Zak's hand found their way around her neck again and he squeezed lightly.
"Zak I'm begging you..."Mariyah was going to hyperventilate, why couldn’t she just stay out of trouble?
"ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION!"She jumped from fright when Zak yelled out.Caleb was looking at her accusingly with his swollen eye, and that was the one eye that he was able to open
"It meant nothing Zak, I swear to you, I was drunk...I was stupid, I missed you that was it."Zak moved his head so he was inches away from her ear
"It meant nothing...Nothing at all?Look what nothing did to your brother Mariyah."
"Zak, please, just let me go to Caleb..."
"You still think you have the fucking right to ask for anything?Don't you get it?I make the fucking rules not you!"Poor Caleb, she always seemed to land him in trouble.
"I get it, I promise, I get it..."He kissed her on her cheek before he practically threw her on Caleb.She came to embrace Caleb and examine his injuries but he refused to let her near him.
"Don't fucking touch me Mari.You've helped enough thanks."He shoved her away from him hard.
"Caleb, I can explain...Just let me explain."
"Enough Mari, I don't want to hear it!Thanks for making my stay here that much worse like it wasn't fucking bad enough."Mariyah cried openly.Caleb had blood coming out of his mouth and she just wanted to tend to him.He was so angry at her and she was helpless to do anything.
"Get him out of here."Zak spoke to Randall.
"Zak don't let them hurt him, please, hurt me just leave him alone."Zak didn't say anything until the door was once again locked.
"You thing to be fucking behind my back and expect me to do anything you want?Don't work like that kid, you fucked up, you fucked up big."

"No you never said you cared for me."Her voice coming out so broken.Zak smiled moving to her, he caressed her face and she turned away not wanting his touch.Zak didn't hesitate before he slapped her across her face so hard that her head hit the bed.She lifted her head and felt the blood dripping from her lip.She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand."Do you feel better?"She asked looking up at the monster of a man.
"You have a smart mouth Mariyah."
"Yeah and you have a bad temper."
"I feel like smacking you again… I mean, maybe you will learn to watch your stupid mouth."Her heart pounded at the thought of having him strike her again.
Zak moved over to her and pulled her up by her arm.He wrapped her in his arms around her body and held her tight kissing the top of her head.On instinct Mariyah pulled away.She did not want his touch… Not right now.
"Don’t pull away from me Mariyah."His voice so low.
"Zak I can't do this anymore… I love you...I have fallen in love with a criminal who cares nothing for me and just to add to my humiliation I am nothing more than your whore, so please if you want to have any sexual interactions with me just do it already so I can leave."Zak rubbed his hands over his shaven head.He looked really frustrated
