I race off with my face burning and burst into the bathroom, slamming the door.

Oh, my god.

I groan at the relief as my bladder empties, but the shame remains.

My skirts might have been short, and I’ve been in a bikini around Liam many times, but the bruises from my recent experience are visible near my panty line, and I hope like hell he didn’t notice.

TEN MINUTES LATER,I exit my room in shorts and a T-shirt and continue with my breakfast as if nothing happened.

Hoping he would do the same.

When Liam walks to the front door on his way out, I glance up from my phone. He wears a Black Hawke Security polo shirt and matching cargo pants, looking sexy as hell with his satchel under his arm, his forearm muscles taut.

I’m too ashamed to enjoy the view.

“That never happened,” I mutter.

“Nope.”Liam doesn’t meet my eyes.“I’ll be home late.Keep out of trouble.”

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.

Regardless, whether Liam knows it or not, he’s protecting me, and I should probably stop being a brat and lie low.

CHAPTER SIX

––––––––

The one thing I neverwanted to happen has happened.

Liar.

I just saw Jessie completely naked, and it didn’t go at all how I imagined it would.
