I was grinding my hips against Khalid and Lucian and they were feeding off me. Liam was fucking my mouth, but then he started singing. I would have put my clothes on and left if any other guy started singing while I had his dick in my mouth, but Liam had an amazing voice and even though he wasn’t a siren, there was magic in his music.

When Liam felt that urge to sing, I didn’t question it. I didn’t know if he chose songs he’d already written or he was making them up on the spot as he felt it. So, Liam sang, and we got worked up into somewhat of a frenzy.

I could feel the magic dancing on my skin. Liam’s song grew louder and Khalid’s jackal was rumbling in his chest. Lucian’s eyes were totally red and his fangs were out.

I was so close. Liam pulled out of my mouth to finish with his hand and I immediately knew why without him having to stop singing and say anything. I leaned forward and bared my neck to Lucian. He snapped forward to bury his fangs in my neck. The spot Khalid marked me was always extra sensitive, but in a good way.

That was where Lucian bit me. I saw stars as I came. Lucian always came when he bit me, too. Something about the magic in my blood and our bond. Khalid made a noise I usually only heard when he was shifted as he spilled into my ass. Liam groaned and sang the last line of his song as he came.

This wasn’t just sex. We’d done something tonight. Time would tell what we’d unlocked, but for now, I was wrecked and intended to sleep in a cuddle pile.

It was a new day, and we were all brimming with excitement. Something happened last night. We all felt it. When we were dressed and getting ready to go to breakfast, I realized what power was unlocked. I was seeing some kind of aura around people now.

I knew that was a thing because Morgana and Saffron talked about it. They could get a read on what kind of mood a person was in by their auras. Except mine was different. Liam, Khalid, and Lucian all had different temperaments, but they were surround by the exact same golden glow.

And so was everyone else we passed on the way down to the dining hall. Morgana and all her men had the exact same golden glow and so did everyone here.

Which made the one person with a blood-red glow around them really stand out. After I got my breakfast, I just spat it out. At this point, Morgana was the sister I never had and Elliot and Petros were like my delinquent brothers.

“That’s not how auras work. They are all different. I can see everyone’s aura right now and a few are yellow, but not golden. Liam has a yellow aura because he’s a musician and so does Khalid because he’s an intellectual. Lucian has resting bitch aura because nothing ever fazes him. His is blue. Their auras have always been like that. They are still like that.”

“Still seeing gold on all three of them. On all of you, too. Everyone is gold except one person. Her aura is blood red.”

“Shit. The Morrigan wasn’t just a banshee. She could foretell who was going to die in battle. Who is red? I think that’s the next victim.”

“Next victim?” Ivar asked as their group joined us.

“Woah.”

Ivar, Ari, and Alexios were golden like everyone else, but Adrian was different. There wasn’t a blood-red glow around him. It was like he was coated in flames.

“The goth girl with the blue-tipped hair is the one glowing red. Adrian, you are glowing like fire. You and the girl with the blue hair look different.”

“Shit, she’s one of my witches. She had a shit life before she got here and she’s here on scholarship. I’ve been watching out for her because she can suffer from depression. She’s actually powerful as fuck. She ended up in the foster system with humans and we’ve all been trying to make her see how strong she is.”

“If I were two evil void being, and I’d figured out the witches did something to me, but the witches are evil geniuses wholocked up the information on how to undo their punishments, I’d try to get that information out of a witch,” Adrian said.

“You don’t even have to be an evil void being,” Liam said. “My da used to kidnap people and torture information out of them all the time if he couldn’t blackmail it out of them.”

“Obviously, we don’t want anyone else getting hurt,” I said. “And I still don’t know why Adrian’s aura is different.”

“It’s the Jesus thing.”

“After last night, you areclearlynot the reincarnation of Jesus,” Ivar said, giving Adrian a smoldering look. “Speaking of people being in danger, did you see any sign of Iman when you were running last night?”

“Oh, yes. Her scent trail was fresh. It ended by the dorms,” Mazen said.

“She hasn’t been back in our room since she decided she preferred Ivar’s room,” I said.

“She hasn’t been back in our room for two days, so we’re worried,” Alexios said.

“Iman is very much a cat,” Morgana said. “Even before she shifted and never turned back, there were times she’d keep me up all night talking and then the next day want nothing to do with me and barely say two words. Before all of you got here, she’d go from trying to sleep on top of me to completely disappearing aside from class for several days. Your year is completely uninterested in mine and as far as they know, she someone’s familiar. Itcouldbe nothing, but we should find her. And make sure nothing happens to Sophie.”

“I’ll look out for Sophie. The rest of you find Iman and try to figure out who Apep is,” Mazen said, getting up and walking towards Sophie.

“So, fun factoid,” Liam said. “Sage isn’t the only one with cool new powers. I can sense bonds now. It’s fragile, but Mazen belongs with your group.”

Adrian looked intrigued, but Ivar and Alexios looked horrified.
