They played this game for several more weeks.Whenever she invited him in, he came and ravaged her in her sleep. It was the best sex she’d ever had in her life, and she couldn’t get enough.Soon she was inviting him in every night, and he took her up on the offer every time.Sometimes she woke up bound, sometimes gagged, but always aroused out of her mind by whatever he’d been doing to her in her sleep.

It was too fucking addictive.

Eventually, she felt him outside in the yard before she even started touching herself. That was when he was ready for the next part of her plan.

She’d spent a lot of her life wondering why she craved the fucked-up shit she did.But now that she’d met that sexy fucking goat, she knew exactly why.He was every filthy fantasy she’d ever had made flesh. He fucked her exactly as dirty as she’d always wanted, without holding anything back because of propriety. She already belonged to him, now she just had to convince him of that.

She let a string of five days go by without unlocking her door.He prowled around outside her house every night, but after her marathon masturbation sessions she shut the curtains and turned off the lights. He did not come in on any of those nights.

Valentine’s Day

Beam sent Talon a text message for the first time since the initial back and forth,Come have dinner with me.

His reply was a simple one,We’re not fucking dating.

Then what are we doing? She watched the floating dots and waited for his answer.

I’m entertaining your perverted fantasies and getting off at the same time.

Beam laughed. While that was certainly true, it was nowhere near the whole truth. She’d seen the look in his eyes when he fucked her to sleep, felt the gentle touch of his hands in the moments he thought she was senseless, and most damning of all, experienced the yearning of his all-too-rare kisses. The way he held her chin so she couldn’t escape and kissed her breathless told her everything she needed to know.He needed her, as much as she did him.

Come have dinner with me and I’ll entertain one of your fantasies.

He left her on read for nearly fifteen minutes before he finally responded,Deal.

After a bit of deliberation, she decided on a salad because she probably wasn’t going to want a heavy meal in her stomach for whatever he had in mind.

When she reached for the goat cheese to balance out the sweetness of some of the other ingredients, she hesitated. Was that offensive? She decided to err on the side of caution and chose pineapple instead. She put the finishing touches on everything just as a loud motorcycle pulled up to the curb in front of her house.

He accepted a glass of wine and eyed the plate she presented to him with surprise that faded into a pleased smile.

“Not what you were expecting?”she asked as she took the chair across from him.

He snorted and picked up his fork.“I expected pasta, or godsforbid, a burger.”His bitter tone conveyed exactly what he thought about that.

“Kai told me you were a vegetarian, so burgers seemed like a bad idea.”

He gazed at her with a strange expression while he chewed his mouthful.Once he had swallowed, he asked, “What else did Soraya’s pet witch say about me?”He didn’t sound annoyed that she’d been asking about him, more curious.

“That you were grumpy.”

Talon chuckled.“Well, at least she was honest.”

Beam finished her own bite.“She said you were one of the guards she knew least because you mostly kept to yourself, but that were you were in general a considerate housemate.”She gestured with her fork.“If grumpy.”

He shrugged.“I try not to be a dick to people who are nice to me.”

She smiled.“Kai is certainly nice.”

They passed the rest of the meal in comfortable silence.

There were so many details she’d never picked up on before in their frenzied coupling. His slightly furred ears were pointed, with multiple rings piercing each of them. His blunted fingernails were painted a dark and gleaming red that accented the curved script of the tattoos that covered his hands. He sometimes worried at the piercings in his lower lip with his tongue when he was thinking.

Nerves fluttered through her stomach as she thought again about what his fantasies might entail. She truly had no idea what to expect.

When they were done with their meal, she pulled a leather jacket over her t-shirt as she followed him out the door. With a rueful shake of her head, she realized he’d hadn’t even told her to come with him, she’d just walked along with him when he got up from the table. It was a strange realization that she trusted him enough to follow him anywhere. That wasn’t how she behaved with anyone.

He swung a leg over his motorcycle and glanced back expectantly. There was no evidence of a helmet in sight, and she’d never ridden one of these.
