“’Kay.” She grinned wickedly before focusing her attention on the girls.

“Bubbles, give me a double!” Blade yelled. “I’m sick of this nasty motherfucker.”

The brothers erupted as Viper shook his head with a smirk. After the song was over, the group had made their way off the floor. As they were walking, a prospect from the Tennessee chapter bumped Oscar as he passed by. If it wasn’t for Cara and Will being quick on their feet, he probably would have hit the ground.

“Excuse you!” Oscar hissed at him.

The prospect turned around with a menacing glare. “Walk away, Tinkerbell. You don’t want any problems with me.”

I stood up, ready to intervene. This prospect was a little over six feet tall compared to Oscar’s five-foot-seven frame. I wasn’t about to let anyone in here assault Will’s best friend. Before I could make it to him, Oscar snapped.

“Bitch, you don’t want no problems with me. Don’t let the size fool you. I’ll beat your ass like your bald-headed mammy should have!”

The prospect's eyes darkened, and he swung on Oscar. He ducked the blow and followed up with a swift punch to his ribs. The prospect doubled over as Oscar threw a fury of blows like a skilled fighter.

“Goddamnnnn!” Torch exclaimed with his fist over his mouth.

The music had been cut off so you could hear each blow Oscar landed. The prospect was dazed. Oscar was not letting up. A circle formed around them as everyone watched in astonishment. The prospect threw punches that never landed. Meanwhile, Oscar had his nose and mouth leaking blood.

“From the shoulders, Oscar!” Cara coached from the sidelines.

I didn’t know what the fuck that meant, but clearly Oscar did. He delivered four more licks that had the prospect covering his face instead of swinging. I guess he didn’t get it exactly right because Cara rushed forward and pushed him out of the way.

“Naw, like this.” She sent a right hook so vicious, the prospect's head snapped to the side before he dropped to the ground with a hard thud. Cara bounced on her feet with a triumphant smile. “Woo. That felt good. I haven’t knocked somebody out in a little minute.”

Oscar watched her in amazement. “Can you teach me that?”

Cara waved him off. “That’s slight work, Oscar. You know how to shoot a pistol?”

“No, but I’ve always wanted to learn.”

“Stick with me. I’ll show the way.” They linked arms and walked away.

“Oscar, noooo,” Will groaned. “She’s my boss.”

“And now she’s my twin,” he shouted over his shoulder.

“She’s already a triplet!”

Oscar and Cara completely ignored him as they sat at the end of the bar talking to each other. Viper faced Will with concern. “Are those two hanging out going to be a problem?”

“Absolutely,” he and Alice answered in unison.

Chapter Nineteen

WILL

Iwas still recovering from the party. It had been so long since I had been that wasted. Bianca was a damn drinking machine. The girls tried to warn me not to get caught up in her web. I foolishly ignored them, thinking they had to be overexaggerating. The next morning, I knew I should have listened. Oscar was so out of it that he had to sleep in a spare room at the clubhouse.

Speaking of Oscar, the next morning, the guys were giving him all kinds of fist pounds for how he handled the prospect. He ate up the praise. Crow let us know he had kicked the prospect to the curb after his antics. He provoked that fight, thinking he could bully Oscar because of his sexuality. He wouldn’t be the first, and damn sure wouldn’t be the last. Since that night, Oscar had been coming around a lot because of his budding relationship with Cara.

I knew eventually those two would end up wreaking havoc. I just hoped they didn’t end up burning down a building or something.

My phone rang beside me, gaining my attention. When I picked it up, I saw I had an incoming FaceTime from my grandmother. My brows rose in surprise. I didn’t know mygrandmother had upgraded to an iPhone, let alone knew how to FaceTime someone.

I picked up the call, and all I saw was nostrils. I chuckled. “Granny, back up some. I don’t need to be able to count your nose hairs.”

She pulled away and smiled at the camera.“Hey, sweetheart. How have you been doing?”
