She got up and grabbed a quick shower and got dressed before heading to the office to work on a custom that came in the day before. She’d help Nightshade and Andrea finish theirs, so now it was time for her to work on hers.

Thankfully this customer wasn’t a big design on it, fairly simple, so that helped a lot with the schedule they had right now. They were still working on the rescue op plan for the next rescue that they had to do.

They were just waiting for a few days to let things die down from the blowback that was going on with the one that they had just done. Word was that the husband was now under investigation for domestic abuse and homicide.

They had made sure that the breaks on the package’s car had been cut when they staged the accident. The latest fight that was between the package and her husband had been perfect since he had made the comment that he would kill her and even stated he would cut the breaks on her car since no one would believe he would do that.

The package had taken to recording herself when she was with him in the house so that she would have evidence against the husband since no one had believed that he would be that type of person. The videos were sent in by an anonymous person which launched the investigation into the husband for her death.

Thankfully, everything was going according to plan so far. Desiree arrived at the office to find it quiet for a change and went into her section of the garage.

She put her earbuds in and turned on her rock music and went to work. She had already set the alarms so she would get a notification if anything went wrong.

After the night of the shooting, Jose, Tiny, and Teddy all went crackers to make sure that both the club and the garage had brand new security systems for when they couldn’t be with them until the nutcase chasing Desiree was dealt with.

Daniels was accounted for thanks to Max and Teddy. But Mutt and Bradley were the wild cards, and Iris was supposed to be checking on their whereabouts currently.

So far, no red flags were pinging on those two, so she counted herself lucky. She just wished she knew who she’d pissed off to cause all this trouble.

She played her life history in her mind over and over again until she knew it by heart now. Aside from the Army and what she did with the club, rescuing the domestic violence victims, she led a relatively boring life.

Something she actually liked when it came down to it. She’d had enough excitement in the Army.

Two hours after she’d arrived at the garage, she received a notification that someone had entered the building. She looked at the camera to see it was Andrea, Iris, Foxie, and Nightshade.

She took her buds out of her ear and waited for them to come into the main garage area. She didn’t have to wait long when she heard the laughter from Andrea after Foxie had murmured something to her.

“Hey, heifer. You’re already here.” Andrea cheered as she led the three women in behind her.

“Yeah. Max got called into the base and I couldn’t sleep so I came on in. What’s going on?” Desiree asked, leaning back against the pole to stretch her legs a little.

“Foxie was talking about her date she got from one of those dating apps last night.” Nightshade laughed as she kicked Desiree’s shoe in greeting.

“Uh oh. Good or bad?”

“He had issues with me having tattoos, that I was former FBI, and that I rode a motorcycle. He says women shouldn’t do things that men do because it made us look desperate.”

“Um, doesn’t your profile show pics of you with your tattoos and your motorcycle?” Desiree asked in confusion as she stared at the woman.

“Yep. Seems this jackass of the year thought he would be able to ‘command’ me to get my tattoos removed and give up my motorcycle until he found out I was former FBI and I burst out laughing at his so-called demand.” Foxie shrugged her shoulders.

“Please tell me you told him to go fuck himself with a dildo that has a real length and fuck off?” Desiree pleaded as she laughed at the outrageousness of the demand.

“Not in those exact words. I told him when he could make more money than I do in a day, fuck my brains out to the point I’m begging him to give me mercy from his dicking down, andpay all my bills, then that would be the day I would listen to whatever he said for me to do. Until then, enjoy being single because my vibrator is obviously better in bed than his ass was.”

Desiree clapped her hands at Foxie after hearing what she’d said. She really did live vicariously through the women of her club.

“Thank God I don’t have to deal with that shit anymore. Dating these days are plain ass exhausting.” Desiree proudly stated as she looked down at her wedding rings.

“I would ask how married life is but you two haven’t even been married twenty-four hours and already he’s possibly getting shipped out.” Andrea sighed as she sat in the stool near Desiree.

“Yeah, but I knew what I was signing up for when I told him yes. Same shit we seen time and time again while we were in the military constantly getting shipped out.” Desiree smiled up at Andrea.

“Do you regret your time in the military?” Foxie asked the three women in front of her.

“No. I wish a few things could have been handled differently, but I can’t say that I do regret it. I’m dipping out at three so I can go to the grocery store to grab some stuff for dinner tonight. You bitches still coming over tonight for the get together we’ve planned?”

“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Andrea and the others agreed.
