“His name is Jay DiSantos? It sounds familiar. Isn’t DiSantos the last name of an old New York Mafia?” We saidMafiaat the same exact time. “I need you to get me everything on this guy so that I can add it to all the motherfucking files.”

“Sir, there’s something… Do you realize what’s happened here; what your slave did?”

“Wait, what? What did she do?” I was dreading the news.

“Wait. Before that you need to know he was the killer—”

“Who?”

“Dr. Lansbury.” When I didn’t make the connection he added, “He’s the one who has been killing all these girls. He was using a code that turned off in all the cameras and would erase when he would punch out. He tried to kill your slave and another but yours killed him plus six guards. Lord Adler forced her to kill the other slave anyway as punishment and—”

Six guards? Jesus fucking Christ.

Once his last sentence processed in my mind, I couldn’t hold back. “What! He has no fucking right!” I yelled as I startedwalking back. Only as I walked back did his account of things started processing in my mind. Jesus fucking Christ there wasn’t enough coffee in the world for this. “And you brought me all the way here to tell me that? Where the fuck is she?”

“Shh… Listen to me, I’m sorry, but she’s probably dead. They were rolling her out of Lord Barrington’s office to harvest her kidney when you texted me,” he explained as he followed me.

“Get me back into the mother fucking buildingright now!” I commanded the last two words through my teeth and ran back into the tunnel. He followed me through the claustrophobic tunnel, then pushed me against the wall.

“There’s a shortcut. Follow me.”

The pain in my dick had me gritting my teeth and drawing blood from my lip, but I couldn’t slow down. As we ran, it dawned on me that there was no way Dr. Lansbury would know the technology well enough to do all this by himself. “Who helped him? Was it Francois?”

“No. I think it was the Silver Fox. It’s like his bank account, the code, it kept changing, kept disappearing. Same technology. Same vibe.”

“What the fuck? I need to know if he’s been here.”

We ran until both our phones vibrated. I took mine out of my pocket. “Fuck! There’s a meeting in the auditorium. Who the fuck would call a meeting this early?”

“Maybe Master?” he asked.

“It’s code seven-seven-six-eight. Lords, doctor and overlords only. No slaves. Why? Get me to the medics, and then go to your office. You don’t need to be involved in any of this.”

“What are you going to do?” he asked.

“I don’t know. But I can’t let them cut off her kidney. She only has that one left.”

At the swinging doors to the medical unit, he said, “Good luck. Let me know if you need anything.”

I hurried to their front desk.

“Sir…” The nurse stood, with bulging eyes.

“Where is she? Slave five-one-five-six-A. Where is she?”

“Room five.”

I took my gun out of my waistband and pushed the swinging doors to the operating room, only to find her on her side and the wound still open.

Beeeeeeeeeep—

“Okay, I have it,” Dr. Avery said at the exact same moment I pressed my gun against a nurse’s temple.

Then the fire alarm went off. Was there anything at all that was not gonna go to hell? The whole team gasped, and one of them screamed when they turned and saw me.

“Nobody move. None of you are leaving this room until you put her back together!” I yelled over the alarm. I was on the side of the table where I could see her face. While Dr. Avery spoke, I whispered into the nurse’s ear. “Take the tape off her face.”

“Sir, please. Let’s be practical. She’s lost too much blood,” Dr. Avery reasoned.
