“What do you think I’m doing?” I growled, my voice full of venom. Mael glared at me and refused to take his eyes off me. This was a show after all.
Her breathing was slowing and she wasn’t moving anymore. I’d done it. I’d killed the object of his obsession. This meant I would be dead soon too. There was no way they'd let me live after this. I looked down at her face, taking in every amazing detail. My tears distorted her beauty before they fell from me to her chest. “I’m sorry Little One. I’m sorry you were ever brought here.” I kissed her cheek, her forehead, her neck. "I'm so sorry."
“Stop the kissing and fuck her!” Master demanded of me.
I leaned down to her ear and whispered, “You’re worth dying for. I’m so sorry, but if I don’t do this, they’ll take you from me.” I faked the movements. “I’m so sorry, Little One.”
She was so soft, frail. After a few minutes, I faked a groan, exaggerating the tremors running through me. I felt bad that ithad distracted me from watching her, so I opened my eyes again. Is she dead yet?Come on, Little One, die before someone notices what I’ve done.
“Okay, that’s enough. Get off her!” Mael yelled, and hurried to us. I backed away and climbed off the table, waiting for Mael to know the truth and kill me. He gasped. “What have you done?” he yelled from the edge of the table at the top of the stairs. “Dad, he killed her! He fucking killed her.”
As he walked to me with crazed eyes full of rage, I stood there with a smile. He grabbed my arm, and from the corner of my eye, I saw her body was completely limp as the medics took her out of the room. “What have you done!” He punched me until I fell, then with the same knife I’d used on her, he sliced my face, cutting through my eyelid. “Ugh.” The sound came out of me when the knife penetrated my stomach. There was a pressure pushing into my body where he'd stabbed. It carried the unending pain as it spread and intensified. I felt tissues being torn apart, and held onto his arm, trying to keep him from taking it out the knife and stabbing me again, but I didn’t have much strength. It hurt too much. He snatched it out. I looked up at the dark ceiling, waiting for him to stab me again.
“What are you doing?” Master yelled as he got closer. “Enough!”
“Are you okay?” He kneeled next to me, then screamed like a banshee when he saw where the knife was, in my stomach. The room darkened, and a dizzying weakness took over. “Hold on. Don’t die on me. Medic! We need a medic here!”
A smile took form on my lips. I was finally going to die.
Fingers forced my eye open, and a light directed at my cornea blinded me, then they did it to the other. “What’s your name, boy?” the doctor in the white lab coat asked me.
“I don't know.” I struggled to say it because everything hurt. “Where am I?”
His eyebrows scrunched, and his mouth fell open while he studied my face. He turned around for a second to meet Master’s gaze. “Tell me your full name.”
“I don't remember.”
“Tell me your mother’s name.”
“Uhhh… I d-don’t remember.”
“Your date of birth?”
“Don’t remember.”
“Come on, boy!” he admonished. And I closed my eyes tight, trying to remember anything about my identity and early childhood, but there was nothing.
I shrugged “What happened to me?”
“What’s the last thing you remember doing?”
I closed my eyes, and it all came back to me. The girl on the table. My eyes opened wide at the memory.I stabbed her.“I was in a fight… with Mael?” I wrinkled my forehead, not sure if that was his name after all. “H-h-he...” I hardly remembered, my forehead and eyebrows scrunched up. “He stabbed me?” I asked.
“Do you have any siblings?”
“Uhhh… I don’t know.” I answered honestly while shaking my head.
“Do you know who that is?” He pointed to Master, who was standing next to the door, leaning with his back against the wall.
“That’s Master.”
The biggest smile spread on Master’s face as if I’d agreed to play a game with him. For the next few days, Dr. Miller performed all kinds of exercises and tests on my memory. He concluded that I had some sort of amnesia. Apparently, he wasn’t wrong. I really couldn’t remember anything unrelated to this place.
I was still in the medic area with a bandage over my face and eye. Master woke me one day by kissing my cheek. “Good morning, sleeping beauty.”
“Good morning.”
“How are you feeling?”
