Ezreal turned around to face the wall with its huge screen and pulled Sara next to him.

“There are five on a team but only four of you,” she said.

“Ahri’s our fifth member. It’s policy for all employees to play the game. Literally all business decisions tie back to it. We give them time each day to play.”

“Maybe I should have come when your employees are here after all.”

“We can always schedule for you to come back. I don’t mind showing you off.”

That earned him another kiss.

“What’s down there,” she whispered, pulling a tissue from a box this time and completely removing her lipstick.

“Bedrooms and bathrooms. I don’t get down there much.”

Sara kissed him again and made a process of wiping off his mouth before kissing him again. And then once more. Ezreal didn’t think he could ever get tired of it. She sighed and rested her head against his chest. He had no idea how long they held each other. Almost since the first time he’d met her, he’d wondered if she’d fit here. She did.

“Isn’t it a pain to clean all this house? Or do you have a housekeeper?” Sara looked up at him.

“A cleaning crew comes in once a week. With just me rattling around in here, there’s not a lot for them to do except surface cleaning.”

“Well, I’m impressed with the warm and welcoming place you’ve created. What’s out here?” She pulled him to the window that overlooked the back end of his wing. “Oh, you’ve carried the cabin look out there too. I love it. Can we go see?”

“Let’s see if the kids want to come.”

They went down the stairs and found that the children had located the remote to his TV and were trying to figure out his cable channels.

“Let’s see Ezreal’s back yard,” Sara said, taking the remote from Brand and turning off the equipment.

Outside, the children ran for the large hammock hanging between the large logs.

“With those trees around the perimeter, it doesn’t even look like you’re part of the business park,” she said, leaning against the log porch railing.

“I had to fight for that because Rafe wanted the whole facility to have a similar look all the way around. I said if this was going to be my home, I wanted the freedom to make it look the way I wanted it. Since I’m in the back, and it didn’t mess with the look from the street, they agreed. I kept the original trees and then added to them. It makes it quieter.”

“Do you come out here to work?” Sara slid her hand through his again.

“Sometimes. Usually after most of the employees have gone for the day.”

“I'm hungry, mama,” Brand whined.

“We should probably take you out to where all the vendors are then.” Ezreal pointed to the boy’s wristband. “That pays for all the food you can eat.”

“Can I have ice cream?” he asked.

“Yes, but I don't want you to eat so much that you get sick.” Sara took his hand.

With a sense of lightness that made Ezreal feel a little like he was floating, he extended his to Janna, and the four of them headed out to the party.
