And there was another VP indulging in a hot affair with the finance manager.Knox was pretty sure Farris and Tricia Connelly were living together. He’d seen them drive in together. And no one at West Coast batted an eyelash.

Yeah, there was something in the air.Maybe it was a virus, and Knox had caught it.Clay Blackwell reported on the reserves, pulling in the numbers from Gloria King, SV Displays’ CFO, who couldn’t be here today.

Knox turned his attention back to the fever infecting him.Summer fever. He had plans for her, big plans. And he’d make sure she enjoyed every single one.

“What the hellis up with you?”Finn asked as they toured West Coast’s manufacturing department.

Knox shook himself out of his sexual daze.“What do you mean?”

Finn was grinning at him.“You’ve got the hots for that customer service manager.”

Busted.Of course he denied it.“Who?”

Finn socked him lightly on the arm.“You know exactly who I’m talking about.Summer Gentry. You didn’t stop looking at her in the meeting today.”

“She’s a pretty little thing to look at.”He had to at least admit that part of it.He always looked. There was nothing wrong with that.

Finn laughed at him.“Yeah, but it’s thewayyou look at her, like you’re dying to drag her off to your man cave and keep her there for a week.”

All right, so he’d been obvious, too obvious.Summer would hate it.But he wasn’t so sure he minded.

“And,” Finn went on, “there’s the way you’re over at West Coast every day checking things out.”

“That’s my job.I have to check things out.”

Finn chuckled at him.“Yeah, you’ve got things to check out, Summer Gentry being the most important.”

Knox snorted.“Get your head out of your ass, Rafferty. When have I evernotlooked at a woman? And when have I ever had to follow her around like a puppy dog?”

“Granted. But I wonder if this time you’ve got yourself hooked.”

Infected by a virus was more like it.But this was one fever he didn’t want to get rid of.“You’re just saying all this because you’re infected with the love virus.”

Finn grinned.“Yeah.I’m completely head-over-heels infected.”

Knox nudged him away from the subject of Summer Gentry.“So tell me how it’s going with what’s her name.”

“Lia Ferroni, you damn well know. And she’s fucking amazing,” Finn said.He wasn’t a man who used a lot of epithets, but it was a testament to his love virus that he did now.

“Happy for you, my man,” Knox said seriously.“She’s a prize.”

“You’re damn right.Hell, I thought you were interested in her at one point.I was ready to knock your block off.”

Knox laughed.“I told you, when have I evernotlooked at a woman? She’s gorgeous, well worth a look. But it was pretty damn obvious you’d already staked your claim.”

And now, after all these years, Knox wanted to stake his own claim. On Summer.

He just had to make her see things his way.

They needed an adventure.

“We need another experience.”

Summer was boneless and sated after amazing phone sex with Knox, a sheet thrown over her, the night breeze stirring the air in her overheated bedroom.

But Knox’s words penetrated the sensual fog.“What do you mean, anotherexperience?”
