The words were like magic. I instantly wanted to keep him happy with me. It didn’t mean I wouldn’t tease him or push his buttons. That would always happen. But I did want to show him I was worth the time and focus he was giving me.
“Yes, Daddy,” I teased. There was a noise behind me as I walked away. It sounded a bit like him taking in a deep breath. I wondered if it was because I wasn’t arguing or if the ‘Daddy’ affected him.
Guess I’d have to do it some more to see.
Fourteen minutesand forty-five seconds later, I flopped onto the couch dressed in the navy-blue t-shirt and black baggy pants Henny had chosen. It was exactly the thing I’d chosen for myself, yet it meant more because he’d coordinated it.
Henny gave me a reprimanding look before he went into the bedroom. Shutting the door, he left me to my own devices, probably so he could clean up himself. I relaxed, my head dropping to the back of the couch as I listened for any hint of what Henny was up to.
I could picture him in the bathroom methodically stripping his clothes away. He’d lay them on the counter instead of letting them fall to the floor. Then he’d make sure the water was just right before going through the motions of his shower routine. He’d scrub every delicious inch of his body…
Fuck.
Thinking of him naked, wet, and soapy had my cock perking up. The damn thing wanted in on the fun. I ached to know exactly what he looked like from his pecs down to what I suspected to be a glorious cock.
My eyes rolled back as I pictured it all. I kept my hands firmly in place on the couch. A single stroke would have me shooting off with how worked up I felt. I didn’t want to explain to Henny when he came out why I’d need another shower and to change.
Taking deep breaths, I focused on unsexy, non-Henny things. Taxes. Pulp in orange juice. Those weird ass muffins the bakery downstairs had started selling. They had raisins in them. What kind of sadist enjoyed that?
I’d managed to calm myself by the time Henny stepped out of the room. He was all put together in his usual suit and tie. Hishair was still damp, which made it flop a bit more than usual and turned it from the soft blond I was used to into a darker shade that was almost brown. I wanted to run my hands through it. Or better yet, I wanted his hands in my hair while I gobbled down that monster?—
And there went my cock again.
“Time to go?” I questioned, jumping up from the couch to hide my reaction.
Henny examined me closely, then dipped his head. “Yes, it is. We have work to take care of. The boss texted that Ricardo was shadowing him over the next few days to get a feel for things. He’s handing off some tasks to me, which will require us to speak with both Dario and Pierre this morning.”
“This should be interesting. Dario has never been a fan.”
“Dario isn’t a fan of most people. His doesn’t believe in small talk or circling around things. It’s what makes him a good CFO.”
I thought about what he was saying and what he wasn’t. Part of me always thought Dario didn’t like me personally. But if it was just who he was, then I needed to reframe how I interacted with him.
We’d never be friends, though we didn’t have to be assholes to each other.
After Henny grabbed his trusty tablet, we went downstairs to his office. Pierre stood outside of it, eyes locked on his phone as he spoke to someone through an earpiece.
“I understand you’re not happy with his decision to no longer attend. We’ve upped our donation for the year. If you’d like, I can speak with Mr. Lyon about doing an appearance another time.”
The person’s response made Pierre’s lip curl. His fingers started to type harder against the screen as his lips mouthed curse words. I couldn’t help the grin that came from seeing a glimpse behind his mask.
He looked up right as we reached the door. I got a nod, while Henny received a brief smile. Then he was back to talking to the person on the phone.
“Your frustration is noted. I’ll place a hold on the donation for the time—oh, really. Well, I’m glad to hear we can come to an agreement. Please note I’ll email you dates and times for a possible visit once I’ve confirmed with Mr. Lyon. Good day!”
I watched as Henny opened the door to his office using the finger scan and keypad combo Rel allowed him to have. Since he handled most of the paperwork, aside from Dario, it made sense to keep his space secure.
It wasn’t anything I couldn’t get past. For the average person, it would definitely slow them down.
Pierre slid past me to go inside. I growled behind him, an animalistic urge to not be separated from Henny taking over my body. The other man widened his eyes and took two large steps away from me. I hummed my contentment as I propped up on the end of the desk.
“Thank you for coming to meet with me, Pierre. It sounds as if the boss has already spoken with you about his absence,” Henny stated.
Pierre finished whatever he was typing and sat back. His ramrod straight position proved how tense he was. Whatever Rel had on his schedule before now, it was creating problems to change last minute.
“Yes, he did message me. I don’t know much outside of the fact he isn’t available. Can you give me an insight on this? Without, you know, going into the other stuff?”
His words held my attention. “The other stuff?”
