That’s when I noticed all eyes were on us. Every alpha in the room looked hungry and ready to pounce.

“Not yet,” I said, trying to stay focused. “I have something to tell you first.”

I gestured for us to sit, and we all joined Marcus and Cameo on the couch.

“What’s going on?” Marcus asked. I could feel his nerves though the bond.

“Well, I guess I should start with… Indi and I bonded.”

“Congratulations,” Cameo said. “Can’t say I don’t wish I got there first, or even second, but as long as we’re all together, it doesn’t matter to me.”

Marcus didn’t say anything, probably already sensing it through our connection.

Then I looked at Joon. For a long time, he seemed put off by the idea of us together. Even now, the look on his face was plain, as if he were thinking.

“I think it’s good too,” he said after a few more beats.

“You do?” I asked, sort of surprised by his mellow reaction.

“Yeah. We’re all… together. And you being here doesn’t make our relationship any less important. With any of them. I’m sorry I got so jealous before.”

I leaned over and gave him another hard kiss. He was still so comfortingly warm.

“No it doesn’t, they love us,” I said with certainty. “And I love you.”

He looked a bit shocked. “I love you too.”

Everyone let us have our moment, but I soon pulled back. I was just putting off the bigger news. The one that made me the most nervous. Sure, this was always the plan, but what if they reacted badly? I wasn’t sure I could take it.

“So… uh while Mason was checking me out, he said… uh…” I struggled to get the words out.

Indi on my other side held my hand tight, giving me the strength to continue.

“I’m pregnant.”

The pause across the room only added to my anxiety.

Cameo stood, walking over to me and squatting right in front of me. His hands gripped my thighs. “You’re sure.”

“Pretty sure, Mason is a doctor,” I said with amusement, hoping to break any of the tension happening right now.

“Tesoro,”he said, laying his head in my lap. “You’ve given me the greatest gift. Our family will be complete.”

I couldn’t help my tears. “So, you’re happy?”

“Happy doesn’t describe,” he said. “Sono al settimo cielo.”

“What does that mean?”

“I’m on cloud nine,” he said.

Marcus and Joon were each smiling, obviously also happy with this outcome. I finally let out a breath of relief. Everything was going to be okay.

Suddenly, Joon’s smile fell, and he shifted, his hand going to his forehead.

“Joon, are you okay?” I asked.

Everyone turned to him.
