“You fucking serious?” I asked my brother.
He smirked, “Yeah. Shit, man, every time I had to watch Harlee wince in pain as she went through the birthing process and then the actual birth of our kids, this is the least I can do.”
“What if god forbid, something happened to her. You met...” Ethan started.
Carter narrowed his eyes at him, “You better not finish that sentence or I’ll make it to where Delaney has to get off with BOB’s for the rest of her life. She’s it for me, she’s my forever. Something happens to her, I’ll make sure our kids are taken care of, then I’ll wait for the day I’m called home to be forever at her side.”
I looked at my brother, and then I immediately thought about my woman, and realized something, realized I felt the same fucking way.
