“Igot all of that ontape too,” King informed Sarah.“Kidnapping gets a life sentence, so we do not need any more charges, but I want the jury to see these threats you made and that attitude will show them just how awful you are as well.”

Looking over, Andy noticed it first. She reached out to grab Avery before collapsing totally and hitting the floor.“Avery, what’s wrong?”

Avery scanned the faces in the room. Then she found Ryker.

He rushed over to her and held her in his arms.He leaned down and whispered in her ear, “I’m here, baby.I got your back. What’s wrong?”

Trembling badly, Avery snuggled to get closer to him, “Oh God, I finally remembered.”

King stepped forward and asked, “Remembered what?”

Avery glanced up at him then she looked over to gaze into Ryker’s eyes.“I remembered the night Trever died.I never could remember what happened between the time I saw him die and when I got home.Shock had wiped out that time span and I couldn’t remember how I even got home.My parents found me hiding on the front porch. They asked me what happened but I couldn’t speak. Then the cops came and they told them Trever had died, him and another man. They told them they found you there too.”She smoothed her hand over Ryker’s cheek.“But you were hurt and there was no gun powder on you other than the spray from standing so close to Trever. My parents were stunned and the cops told them that he’d gotten caught up in a shootout between the bikers and a street gang.At least that’s what they thought.”

King shook his head.“Honey, slow down, you aren’t making sense here.”

Avery turned her head to stare at him.

Ryker shook his head and said, “I go by Ryker now but I was Tommy back then.Trever and I were best friends and we were on our way home from Pizza Hut when we stumbled into a gang war.Trever was shot and I survived but was knocked out.”

Avery shook her head.“That’s what the cops thought, that’s what they told my parents too. Then the biker club made our lives hell so we had to move. And I couldn’t remember what I’d seen. All these years Sarah used that against me.She kept me quiet by threatening to call the bikers and letting them know where I was.You see, the evidence showed that the biker’s president killed his own brother.”She turned to glare at Sarah.“But that’s not what happened that night, is it Sarah?”

“Now how the hell would I know that?”Sarah scoffed.

Avery held her stare with her.“Because you were there, Sarah. You were there and it was you who shot that biker and it was you that shot my brother. You were arguing with that biker, trying to make a deal with him about running drugs. You were standing in the shadows and when you drew your gun, so did the biker. You didn’t even know my brother and Tommy were right behind you, did you?You never even looked before you shot that biker. You thought no one saw you but then Trever made a sound, you twirled around and saw the boys standing there looking at you. Then you came charging out of the shadows and stepped right into the street light area. For a moment, you looked demented and enraged then you took aim and shot Trever without even thinking twice about what you were doing. Then you swung at Tommy.Trever dropped where he stood and your swing at Tommy dropped him down to the ground close to Trever. And that’s when you said it.”She looked scared and said, “There was so much blood that night.Trever was bleeding but so was Tommy.”

“What did she say?”Gunner asked.

“She took a step back and said that same thing under her breath,“So this is how everything ends huh? This is such a clusterfucking mess.”Avery shuddered.“I was about a half a block behind the boys but the silence after the gunshots was total and I heard her words clear as a bell.”Shaking her head she added, “I just took off running.I couldn’t believe what just happened.I was only eight years old and I was scared that I would be shot too.Scared that she would find me and hurt me just to shut me up before I could say anything against her.I hid in my room for a week.My mom and dad kept asking me what I saw that night but I just shook my head and said nothing.Even when the bikers came around, I didn’t say anything. The cops told us the leader of their gang was going down for the shooting and they were threatening us.My dad got scared and we moved in the middle of the night and still...I said nothing.By then, I couldn’t remember what I’d seen. Then a few years later, when the bikers found us again, they came in shooting and I was so scared I hid in my closet.I sat there and covered my ears, then after they left, the silence was so loud.I couldn’t even hear my own heart beating in my chest.I knew I had to get out of that house before the cops got there.I heard the sirens coming closer, so I ran away.”

The room was completely silent now and the tension was high when Sarah finally broke it.She sneered and said, “Well that sure is some story. But it wasn’t me that you saw.I was nowhere near that park that day.I didn’t even live in Tyler, nor did I have any reason to be there that night.”

Ryker turned his head to stare at her.“How do you know the shooting took place in the park then? How do you know that Trever died in Tyler?”

Sarah pursed her lips tightly for a moment then growled, “I saw the story on the news and heard the biker was part of the Morales gang.I followed the story on the news when Pike went on trial.”

Grizzly just raised his eyebrow and asked her, “And how did you know a man like Pike Carter? He and his gang were one percenters. Most people knew enough to stay away from that group.”

Ryker glared at her too.“You fucking fractured my skull that night lady. You hit me so hard I almost died.I’m thinking the only thing that saved me was the fact that someone heard the gunshots and called the fucking cops.”

Grizzly walked over, dragged Sarah to a chair and shoved her down into it.Then he grabbed a zip tie from his back pocket and ziptied her cuffs to the chair.

Boone did the same with Lester.

Both of them immediately began crying about policebrutality.

Grizzly told them both to shut the hell up, then he reached for his phone and called his Marshal boss.Grizzly asked his boss about getting a team into the house in Cedar Park and looking for drug residue. He told him he had video taken by a relative that Sarah was a courier between the Double Devils and the Morales gang in Tyler. He told him that Sarah might know something about the new designer drug Red Russian.

His boss listened then gave him the go ahead to find out what he could on his end while a team would be dispatched to search the Cedar Park residence and to check out the cameras near the church.

When he ended the call he looked at King, “Ok, this is what’s going on outside this clubhouse. The Marshals are checking out the house where we found these yahoos. They are going to go over everything with a fine-tooth comb.If there have been drugs there, they will find traces of them and hopefully be able to locate the components used to make the drugs, that adds a drug charge to the many counts we’ll provide to the courts.”

“You can’t invade my home!”Sarah shouted as her spittle flew everywhere.“You have no rights here. That’s my home.”

Looking disgusted, Tamaria shook her head.

Andy scoffed.“You don’t live there. It was your drug house! You were making and selling drugs there!”

“You shut up, you traitor!”Sarah yelled.“Backstabbing me like you have.I’m your mother.”
