All I need now is a wolf to be in love with me, then I may as well change my name to Bella.
Lying here, my head resting on his firm chest, his arm wrapped protectively around me, it’s surreal. I shifted earlier, trying to move, and he just followed, keeping one arm around me the entire time.
If I had known sex could be like that, then I would have given up my v-plates long ago. Then again, I’m not sure a human man would compete. When we both climaxed, it was like nothing I’ve ever imagined. Peoplesay they see stars when they orgasm, but I swear I saw the goddamn Milky Way.
A smile plays on my lips as last night’s memories continue to play in my mind.
The memory of him coming and filling me with his release.
Hold. The. Fuck. Up.
My body goes rigid. Shit.
“What is it?” Lucian murmurs. His voice is deep and thick with sleep.
“You came!” I blurt out, leaning up on my elbow and looking down at him.
He grins, his amber eyes glowing through his thick lashes. “Hmm, I sure did,” he growls.
Heat grows in his eyes.
“Don’t,” I say, shutting him down before he can even begin.
“You came inside me. I’m not on any birth control, and the last thing I want is to get pregnant,” I rush out, panic rising in my throat.
Lucian’s grin widens as a deep chuckle rumbles from him. In the next second, I’m on my back, with Lucian above me, pinning me to the mattress.
“Can you not do that?” I huff. His gaze flickers over my face, lingeringon my mouth.
“What am I?” he asks, amusement dancing across his eyes.
“Controlling, bossy, obsessive, possessive. You want me to continue?” I quip, teasing him.
He lets out a low snarl before pressing his mouth to mine in a lazy kiss, sharply nipping my bottom lip.
“Ow!” I gasp, breaking the kiss, tasting the blood on my tongue.
Lucian’s eyes burn as he kisses me again, caressing my tongue with his, moaning as he tastes my blood. He ends the kiss, his eyes full of heat.
“I am a vampire, Petal. I am undead. I cannot produce children,” he clarifies.
“Oh, but Edward—” I start.
“This is notTwilight. This is notInterview with the Vampire,Blade,Dracula…” he lists off.
“Sinners?” I retort, trying my best to hide my smile.
“No.”
“Shame. I like the music. Oh, what aboutWhat We Do in the Shadows?” I continue to provoke, knowing it’s starting to annoy him.
“I can hear the laughter in your voice. I know what you are doing,” he says sternly.
I bite my bottom lip to contain my grin.
“Well, I’m just saying, some of the vampires must have talked to someone, or these movies wouldn’t have been made. Or the fact that we know you are called vampires,” I argue.
“We hunt humans, we feed on blood, we like to fuck, and we burn alive and die in the sun,” he states irritably.
