His words sent a thrill of raw desire right to where she needed him to touch her the most. Lora’s hips bucked, seeking his touch, but his hand stopped right above where she craved it. “What are you waiting for then? Make good on your word,” she dared him, her own smile filled with dirty intentions.
Eyden’s eyes promised mischief. Anticipated pleasure ran over her skin, making her tingle all over. His fingers fully touched her then, stroking the centre of her over the bundle of nerves before pushing in. Breathing heavy, she moved against him, seeking every bit of pleasure. But it wasn’t all she wanted. Her free hand pushed against his trousers impatiently.
Eyden pulled back enough to pull down his trousers and his underwear with it. Her gaze caught on his length before her eyes fell shut as he continued touching her, throwing her back into uncontrolled moans. She could feel her fire increasing, taking over, turning every touch scalding hot. His tongue flicked over her neck before nibbling her earlobe, his hand never slowing down as he brought her to the brink.
She could feel him against her thigh, and she knew he was holding back, but she was all in. A rumble left Eyden’s chest as her fingers wrapped around him lightly. Taking the cue, Eyden removed his hand and adjusted himself, lining himself up perfectly. Lora moved her hands to clutch his shoulders. Her eyes opened, meeting Eyden’s stormy gaze just as he pushed himself in.
Her breath caught. Her eyes fluttered shut. Eyden’s head dropped to her shoulder, a moan on his lips. He was still for a second, letting her adjust, but Lora wanted more. She rocked her hips forward, fire shooting through to her very core, and Eyden groaned louder, lifting up enough to pull back and push in again, starting a delicious rhythm.
Moans filled the room as they held onto each other. The fire in her sang, harmlessly intertwining them, encouraging her to embrace this moment fully. Eyden’s hand moved down her bare leg to her knee, bending it to go even deeper. Lora let out a startled breath that turned into a sigh as she rode her pleasure high.
The friction built, the rhythm increased. Her breasts grazed his bare chest with each movement, sending sparks all over. And when he moved one hand between them, touching just the right spot, Lora did scream his name. She bit his shoulder as she took every bit of pleasure he gave.
Moving against him, she came apart, the fire inside her exploding, and Eyden followed soon after, whispering sweet nothings in her ear as his release shook through him and they were floating in the embers of their creation.

Lora felt a presence at her back as sleep left her. She must have drifted off. Soft breathing filled her ear, Eyden’s breath tickling her skin. His arm was thrown over her middle, his body moulded against hers.
He must have draped a blanket over them at some point, but she wasn’t wearing anything. Thinking she might have to leave quickly should the crystal go off—which was still in Eyden’s trousers—Lora thought it best to get dressed and put the crystal somewhere closer. She tried to get out of Eyden’s embrace without waking him, but she ended up wiggling against him, her ass pressed against his front.
“What are you doing?” he asked, his voice laced with sleep. “On second thought, never mind, keep going. Gives me more to dream about.”
Lora halted. “What kind of dreams?”
Eyden nuzzled her neck, his voice husky as he mumbled, “Heated ones.”
Fire blossomed in her core again. “I should get up,” she said before she lost herself.
“You should sleep. I’ll wake you up if the crystal goes off. I’m keenly aware of things even when half asleep.”
“I can sleep back at the palace.”
Eyden’s arm tightened on her waist. “I like you here. In my bed. Isn’t my bed comfortable?”
Hewas comfortable. “I can stay a bit longer.” Her hand moved over the arm draped around her. “Do you remember the first night I stayed here? You definitely did not want me in your bed then. You told me to sleep in the bathtub.”
Eyden’s chuckle raised the hair on the back of her neck. “No, I merely offered you that option. I’m a gentleman like that.”
“Clearly.”
His hand on her waist tightened, sending a jolt through her. “And for the record, even that first night, if you had crawled into my bed, I would have never turned you away.”
Lora sucked in a breath. She tilted her head back, meeting his dazed eyes. His lips quirked up.
“I have something for you,” Eyden said, turning away from her, his arm leaving her cold. He opened the drawer next to his bed, and Lora caught a glimpse of a drawing.
“Is that me?” she asked, tilting her body forward to see. She recognised his style. He had drawn her as he’d drawn other fae who were missing.
Eyden stilled for a moment. “I didn’t want you to be forgotten.”
Her heart beat faster as she imagined a worried Eyden searching for her, not giving up.
He removed a delicate silver chain from the drawer. Taking her hand out from the covers, Eyden unfastened her bracelet. He moved the crystal, an incredible mix of aquamarine and dark violet, to the fine silver chain and held it out to her.
“I know it’s not the same as your pendant, but…” His voice drifted off as he looked into her eyes.
Lora grasped the necklace, the gesture pulling at her heartstrings. “Thank you,” she replied in a choked voice. She opened the clasp, then handed it back to Eyden. “Help me put it on?”
