“No, Blade just got back to me. He thinks he found the mole. It traces back to this base.”

“What?”Benstopped dead in his tracks. “Impossible.”

“I’m afraid not. We’ve been tracking the money and found a few offshore accounts. Whoever set them up was good, but not better than me. You’ll never guess who Fox is.”

“Who?” The base was big enough it could be anybody.

“Commander Brady.”Bencouldn’t have heard him right. Their commander had set them up? Thatdidn’t make any sense. “Midas, you there?” Hound asked.

“I’m here. It just doesn’t make any sense. We’ve worked with him for years and nothing has ever happened before. He even called me to meet him at his office this morning but he’s not here.”

“That’s not good. Where’s Hannah?”Benwas touched his teammate was worried about her. The guys liked her and ribbed him a few times about her over the mission. Now that Hannah knew what he did for a living and accepted it, he didn’t want to let her go. She fit himin a way that defiedreason. She had touched him as no other woman had before or ever could. There wasn’t a chance he was letting her go now.

“She’s at my house. I’m heading back there now.”

“You don’t think…” Hound’s words trailed off, but the meaning was still there.

Shit.

Hannah knew about Fox and Alejandro’s dealings. She was a liability that Brady couldn’t have hanging out there. He would try and get rid of her, and he gotBenout of the way. “I’m on my way back home now.”

Benhung up and raced out of the building for his car. He stopped short when he saw Sunshine leaning against his car. Besides the mission, he had seen little of Sunshine. Was probably still pissedBenwas seeing Hannah. Well boo hoo for him, she was staying, and there was nothing he could say to change his mind.

“Sunshine great to see you, shitty timing.”

“Midas, I didn’t come here to fight. I just wanted to tell you that if you want to see Hannah, fine, I won’t get in your way.”

“Great but I need you out of my way.” He said pointedly at the driver door Sunshine was leaning on.

“Just hear me out,” Sunshine kept going not sensingBen’s impatience to leave. “I’ve been an ass. I’ve let my failings in my relationship influence my thinking of all women with military guys.

At the end of his rope,Bengrabbed Sunshine by his shirt collar and pulled him off the car. “That’s great but Commander Brady is the one behind the ambush on us in Panama and he is after Hannah, who is alone at my house. Now, for the last time. I have to go.”

Sunshine looked at him shocked. “Well, then what the hell are you still standing around talking to me for?”Benrolled his eyes and jumped in his car and Sunshine jumped in the passenger seat.

Benpulled into his driveway and saw his front door half open. “Fuck,” he muttered before climbing out of his car before itfullystopped.

“Midas,” Sunshine tried to protest as Ben scrambled out of the driver seat to stop the car, butBenwas already jogging into his house. The first thing he saw was the front door opened. The frame was still intact which meant no one had broken the door in. Hannah had let them in. He stepped inside the threshold and found Cora huddled in the corner looking dazed as she tried to stand. Commander Brady was in the living room with his back to him standing over something. Glass and miscellaneous awards was scattered all over the floor which looked like trophies and awards he had won, but where was Hannah? At Commander Brady’s feet, he saw Hannah trying to back pedal away from him. “Come with me quietly, or I kill your little friend.” Was all he heard from Commander Brady. There was no way in hell his woman was going anywhere with Commander Brady. She would probably get dumped back at Alejandro’s feet. There wasn’t a snowball chance in hell of that ever happening.Benlaunched himself at Commander Brady, and he punched him. This sorry excuse for a man sold out his country and fellow men. He didn’t deserve to wear the uniform. Once hestarted punchingCommander Brady he couldn’t stop. He stopped when he finally heard Hannah calling out his name and touching his arm.

He wanted to keep hitting Commander Brady but knew it wasn’t what Hannah wanted. He stood up and looked her over. “Are you okay?” If the bastard had harmed her, therewasn’t a force on earth that could stophim but tearing his commander apart.

“I’m fine. Rattled but okay.” She assured him. “I’m sorry about your trophies. I needed a weapon and they were all I could find.” She looked away sheepishly.

“Fuck the trophies. All that matters is that you’re okay.” Ben reached out hesitantly to touch her, he cringed at the blood covering his hands, but Hannah didn’t shirk away. She leaned into his touch.

She leaned towards him and gave him a kiss. It was a brush of the lips, but it would have to do. Hannah suddenly reared back. “Oh, Cora.” They both turned to look at Cora, but she was being seen to by Sunshine. Cora didn’t seem to want Sunshine’s help, but he would see to her anyway.

Hannah separated herself from Ben and ran over to Cora. “Are you okay?”

“Not you too,” Cora complained as she batted Sunshine’s hands away.

“It looked like he hit you pretty hard.”

“You should go to the hospital,” Sunshine told her.

Cora rolled her eyes. “Everyone stop. I’m fine. He didn’t hit me that hard. Hannah, are you okay?”

“Yeah, thankfully Ben arrived when he did.”
