When I feel her tighten and her legs tremble with her impending release, I slide two fingers back inside and curl them just so as I close my lips around her clit.
Julie shatters with a hoarse cry, her body shaking through the aftershocks as I work her down gently. I lap at her until she’s boneless and spent.
I crawl back up her body and take in her flushed cheeks and the dazed bliss in her eyes. She’s never looked more beautiful.
“I love you so much, Julie Murphy,” I murmur, the words slipping out. But I don’t regret them. Not for a second.
Julie blinks up at me, wonder and tenderness replacing the haze of passion. “Blake… I… I….”
“You don’t have to say it back right now.” I rest my forehead against hers. “Just say you’ll stay with me tonight. Please.”
Julie smiles, soft and sweet. “I’ll stay with you tonight, Blake.”
A buzzing from my pocket shatters the moment and I groan, reluctantly disentangling myself from Julie’s embrace. It’s a text from Drew.
Drew: Time to eat. Stop defiling my future sister-in-law and get your asses downstairs.
I bark out a laugh and shake my head as I type back a reply.
Me: On our way. And she started it.
After tossing my phone aside, I extend a hand to Julie and pull her up and into my arms. I can’t resist stealing one more kiss, nipping playfully at her bottom lip.
“To be continued, baby,” I murmur. “Once everyone clears out, I’m getting you naked and keeping you that way for the rest of the weekend.”
Chapter Five
JULIE
I sitat the long mahogany dining table, my mind spinning as I try to process the whirlwind of events that have brought me to this moment.
It’s surreal.
Just days ago, Josie, Maddie, and I were barely scraping by in that dingy shack I optimistically called a house. Now, we’re staying in Blake’s sprawling mansion.
Josie laughs beside me as she chats with Willow. Maddie gurgles happily in Blake’s arms, oblivious to the significance of this family dinner.
How did my life flip upside down so fast?
My eyes drift to Blake. He’s cradling our daughter and pressing a tender kiss to her wispy blonde curls. “Daddy loves you so much, princess,” he murmurs. “I’m never letting you go.”
Maddie coos and reaches up a chubby hand to pat Blake’s chiseled jaw. The pure adoration shining in his eyes takes my breath away. I’ve never seen a man look at his child like that before.
Memories of my own childhood flash through my mind. Mom passed out drunk on the couch. Strange men filtering inand out of whatever craphole we were renting that month while Josie and I cowered in the bedroom.
No one ever looked at us the way Blake is looking at Maddie now. Like we were precious. Cherished.
Loved.
A lump forms in my throat, and I blink rapidly against the sting of tears.
Watching Blake with Maddie, I feel something stir deep inside me. It’s more than just the sizzling physical attraction that’s been simmering between us since the moment we met. This is different. Stronger.
Blake isn’t just a smoking-hot billionaire with a body built for sin. He’s a man who stepped up without hesitation to be a father to a daughter he never knew existed. A man who opened his home and his heart to a woman he barely knows, simply because she’s Maddie’s aunt.
Blake is kind. Generous. Loyal. The type of man who would move heaven and earth for the people he loves. The type of man I never thought I’d find.
As if sensing my thoughts, Blake’s family draws me into the conversation and peppers me with questions about my life, my interests, and my dreams for the future. They listen intently to my answers, nodding and smiling like they actually care.
