Relieve the discomfort, she thought with a grimace. You caused it and now you’re worried about making it better? That’s not exactly true she admitted to herself with a sigh. The whole thing was her fault and she should have known better. He warned her before she ever entered into this agreement about lying. Well, she thought crawling out of bed, at least it was over and that was a very good thing. Maybe now they could get back to normal pursuits, with a few added activities she grinned.
Yesterday afternoon had been eye-opening. Finally, she knew firsthand what all the fuss was about and she had to admit she was looking forward to experiencing more. It just didn’t seem possible that Ty could do all those things to her body and make her like it. Previously, all she felt when she thought about sex was fear and loathing, now she couldn’t wait for tonight to get here. Life sure was strange sometimes, she acknowledged as she turned on the shower.
The first thing she was going to do this morning, she decided, was call Sue. They had so much more in common now that Kelsey realized being intimate with Ty was incredible. Besides that, she survived her first real spanking and was bursting with pride for some reason. It hurt, really hurt and she screamed her head off, but it was over and she survived. She’d earned it, and Ty had administered it, firmly and fairly. Spanking had always seemed a bit like abuse to her before and now she clearly understood that it wasn’t. Ty was a good man, probably the best she’d ever known and she trusted him. If he believed in his heart that a spanking was necessary, she wouldn’t fight him on it, but would accept his decision.
Kelsey felt like a giant weight had been taken off her shoulders. No more walking on eggshells afraid to make a mistake or disappoint him. If that happened, he would deal with it, and she finally felt a sense of security for the first time in her life. She was free to be herself. It was incredibly empowering. I love him, she realized, hugging herself with soapy hands and I think he loves me. I have a future, and a home, and a man who will not let me down she sighed as tears of happiness dripped down her cheeks. “I have to talk to Sue,” she said out loud, hurrying to finish her shower. “If I don’t tell someone how I feel, I’ll burst.”
Sue picked Kelsey up in Marcus’s red hybrid Prius and smiled when she bounced out of the house.
“I take it someone got out of her spanking last night,” Sue stated, grinning as Kelsey got in and buckled up. It wasn’t hard to see that she was positively glowing.
“No,” Kelsey said, surprised. “No I didn’t. Ty spanked me and it hurt like hell. Why would you think that?”
“Because you’re so damn happy,” Sue shot back, starting down the drive.
“I am happy,” Kelsey agreed with a laugh. “I had my first orgasm, a great time at dinner with my best friend, and my first spanking, all in one day,” she continued with a grin.
“Well he must have gone easy on you,” Sue replied.
“He did not,” Kelsey argued firmly for some reason defending Ty’s skills. “I screamed my fool head off and begged for mercy. Do you want to see my butt to prove it?” she asked.
“I don’t think so,” Sue laughed. “All I’m saying is that I’ve never seen you so happy and when Marcus spanks my ass I’m hardly singing his praises the next morning.”
“That’s because you’re looking at it the wrong way,” Kelsey smiled, feeling like she finally knew more about something than her friend.
“How so?” Sue asked, curious.
“Well, I feel like I deserved it and it cleared the air between us in some way. Ty was firm as hell last night with me, but I fell asleep in his arms and he left me a sweet note this morning.”
“I think it would take more than a note from Marcus to make me as pleased with him as you seem to be with Ty,” Sue snickered.
“It wasn’t the note,” Kelsey replied thoughtfully. “Ty showed me who he was yesterday. I mean who he really is. I knew something about him, but I didn’t really trust him, not inside,” she continued, unconsciously placing her hand over her heart. “He’s a man of his word. If he says he’s going to make love to me and I’ll like it, it’s the truth. If he says he’s going to spank me for something I’ve been warned about, it’s the truth. He doesn’t play games or twist things around to suit his mood. When he calls me Sweet Pea or my love, he means it. It’s not just a silly endearment, he really means it, Sue. I have a home with him, a life,” she smiled from ear to ear, “and I love him. I think maybe he really loves me too.”
Sue reached over, took Kelsey’s hand and gave it a squeeze.
“I think you're right, Kels,” she smiled. “I’m so happy for you. You lucked out on this one hon.”
“I did, didn’t I?” Kelsey replied, doing a little happy dance in her seat until her bottom protested and she yelped.
Sue laughed as they headed into town. She was happy for her friend and maybe a tiny bit jealous too. How nice it would be to see everything so clearly, your future dead ahead and no fear in front of you.
Chapter Eleven
They had lunch at the diner, Sue munching her way through a cheeseburger and loaded fries. She was just finishing her milkshake when Ty walked in, holding the door open for an attractive dark haired young woman.
“Who is that?” Sue asked quietly, motioning towards the entrance with a nod of her head.
“That’s Shelly, the receptionist at the clinic,” Kelsey replied, watching them walk up to the counter. It was obvious, even to Kelsey, that the girl was standing far closer to Ty than was necessary.
Sue arched her brows and stared as Ty bent down to listen to what Shelly was saying.
“I don’t like this, Kels, I really don’t,” Sue said under her breath. “I can spot a player a mile away.”
“Are you suggesting Ty is a player?” Kelsey gasped back.
“No, I’m just saying that girl is interested in a lot more than a job. You better be careful. She wouldn’t be the first woman to set her sights on the guy who signs her paycheck.” Giving a loud, fake cough, Sue managed to attract Ty’s attention and he immediately made a beeline for Kelsey.
“How’s my girl?” he asked, sliding into the booth next to Kelsey and giving her a kiss. “I didn’t know you were coming into town today. Are you doing anything special or just came in for lunch?”
