We gather up our things and head out to the bar. Everyone is having a good time and the alcohol is flowing. I nod over to Brass as Raegan leaves my side and goes over to Riot and Rocky who are sitting down on barstools kicking back a few beers.
“What’s up, Prez?” Brass asks when he sees me eyeballing every fucker in the room.
“Find out who the fuck sent Laura to my office. Everyone knows that whores are off limits in there.” He gives me a shocked look that tells me that he didn’t know about it. “Also, get the prospects to move my bike to my house, I’m staying there tonight.” I tell Brass where my bike is parked and he gives me a questioning eye. Not wanting to get into it right now with the details of Raegan being the mayor’s stepdaughter I wave it off. “Tell those little shits that if one scratch gets on my ride, they can kiss their dicks goodbye.”
“Sure thing, Prez.”
We walk away from each other, and I move over to Raegan, Rocky, and Riot. They’re laughing about something but stop when I approach. I catch the eye of several Sweetbutts eyeing my wildcat, and if I don’t get her out of here soon, I might put a ban on having whores here. Not wanting them to string me up because I can’t tamp down this obsession with her yet, I place my hand on the small of her back.
“Ready?” I ask her.
“Sure. See you guys later.” Raegan gives each a hug, and I have to remember that her and Riot are only friends or I’d break his arms right now. Rocky holds onto his hug a little longer, but Raegan doesn’t show that she minds. I’ll have to have a talk with him later about boundaries where my woman is concerned. Rocky can get attached real fast. I want him to understand that she’s his friend, but that she belongs to me.
When we finally reach the parking lot, it’s empty as we make our way over to her car. I open her door on the passenger side and catch out of the corner of my eye Havoc making his way to us from the garage area. He looks like he’s a man on a mission. I have a pretty good idea what he wants. After closing Raegan’s door, I walk to the rear of the car halting him.
“I think we need to talk, don’t you…Prez,” Havoc seethes through his teeth. His hands are balled into fists ready for battle. We both measure equally in a fight, but he lets his emotions control him which will always give me the upper hand.
“After church tomorrow, you and I will sit down and talk.” I stand toe to toe with him. I’ve never backed down from a challenge and this is no different. He snorts through his nose like a bull as his shoulders roll back making his chest puff out.
“Everything okay out here?” Reaper comes out of nowhere walking up to us assessing the situation. It’s not normal for Havoc and I to be in each other’s faces.
“Yeah, everything here is just peachy,” Havoc comments then knocks my shoulder with his as he makes his way towards the clubhouse. Reaper gives me a questioning look, and I just shake my head. Once Havoc is sober, we’ll have a real conversation about this but not until then. And definitely not in front of Raegan.
After pulling off my cut and getting into the car, Raegan raises an eyebrow at me.
“Don’t ask,” I say starting the car.
The drive becomes more difficult as Raegan’s hand continues to walk her fingers teasingly up my leg towards my steel rod, hidden behind my jeans. Not that I’m complaining, but I have to concentrate a lot harder now that her movements with her hands are making my eyes want to roll back into my head. She finally looks out the windshield and notices the road after a while and sees us going the opposite direction of her house.
“Where are we going?” she asks, curiously.
“Home.”
Riding my Harley two streets over, I pull into my dad’s driveway before killing the engine. It’s early in the morning and I haven’t been to sleep yet. My adventurous wildcat kept me up all night with her little antics. I finally waved the white flag saying I’d had enough, between her riding me and fucking her on every solid surface of my house. Christ, I might need to ice my balls.
“Everything okay there, son?” Dad asks as I come around the back porch.
Dad’s perched up in his wheelchair under the awning, drinking his coffee and sneaking in a smoke before Melissa can catch him.
“Yeah,” I say and gently sit down next to him on the cushion wicker chair.
“You sure? You look like you’ve been rode hard and put away wet.” He chuckles to himself. I’m sure he knows what I’ve been doing.
“I’m fine.”
“Put some baby powder on it and maybe an ice pack, you’ll be ready to go again by tonight,” he offers, and I find it extremely awkward to have a conversation like this with my dad.
“Sure.”
“What brings you by this early?” he asks.
“Need to talk to you about some club stuff and maybe something a little more personal.”
“Okay, shoot.”
I start with the club stuff. Then I tell him about burning down the Vipers warehouse and our safe house being lit up. About the Fallon Chapter getting hit and losing a shipment to the prospect put in the barrel. And then about the Vipers trying to hack our files. We talk for a long while, and he gives me some advice on how he would handle it if he was in charge. We talk about the protection runs and even maybe starting up another chapter in California to help out the runs from border to border.
Melissa comes out several times to bring breakfast and more coffee before her shift at the hospital begins.
