Chapter Twenty-Six
JOSIE
Bam stares at me without saying a word. I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. He’s sitting on the end of my bed looking extra yummy. He always has good style. “Am I doing it wrong?” This is my first rave! I don’t know these things. I actually googled rave outfits, and this is the best I could come up with out of my closet. I didn’t want to go shopping. It’s not really my thing, so I didn’t want to spend money on something new if I could make do with what I have.
“You can’t wear that, Josie,” Bam says. He doesn’t look too happy with my outfit choice.
“I know.” I glance down, shuffling my feet. “The white sneakers will get dirty, but they match, and I want to be quick on my feet if I need to.” I do a spin but kinda twist my ankle a little the wrong way and almost fall. “We’re going to pretend that didn’t happen.”
“Are we going swimming?”
“Hey!” I put my hands over my boobs, which are inside of a bikini top. I am not wearing the bottoms, obviously, but I did turn a pair of jeans into shorts. I might have cut them a tad too much.
“Come here.” I go to him. How can I not? He’s sitting on the bed, the place where he gives me killer orgasms. I swear I still feel the last one from an hour ago. It makes my toes tingle. Is that normal? Meh, doesn’t matter.
The second I’m close enough for him to grab me, he does. I let out a small scream of surprise as he pins me to the bed beneath him.
“This outfit is going to drive me nuts all night.”
“Really?” I laugh. “Usually it’s my personality that does that to boys.” Not sure I’d call Bam a boy. He’s seen more life than people twice his age.
“Because they’re dumbshits, and they know they’ll never keep up.”
“And you think you can?” I tease.
“No, but I’m not letting an ego hold me back from trying.”
“Bam.” I yank him down for a kiss. He always says the sweetest things to me. He doesn’t stop until I’m breathless.
“See?” he says, sitting up and holding my bikini top. “A tug was all it took. I’ll be breaking fingers and faces.” That should not be hot, but still, it is.
“Okay.” He leans back down, sucking my nipple into his mouth. I let out a moan, but it’s short-lived because I hear the front door open along with the alarm going off. Bam is on his feet instantly. How the hell does he move that fast for as big as he is? He’s about to yank open my bedroom door, but we hear the alarm go back off. “Oh, shit!” I jump up, searching for a shirt to quickly pull on.
“Josie?” my dad calls, and a second later he knocks on the door. He’d never barge in on me.
“Ah, hold on, I’m naked!” Bam holds up a hand, mouthingWhat the fuck?“Just joking,” I add. Shit, it was the first thing I thought to say but not the brightest because Bam is in here, andI’m sure my dad knows that from the ring camera. I used to love that camera; now it’s a pain in my ass and a total snitch.
Bam grabs the handle, opening my door. “She’s not naked.” I stand up from where I was sitting on the bed.
Dad’s eyes bounce from Bam back to me. I glance down at myself and realize I’d put on one of Bam’s shirts, and it falls past my shorts. If it weren’t for bad luck in my current situation, I’d have none.
“I’m dressed!” I lift the shirt partly so you can see my jean shorts. Not that those are any better.
“I’m not responsible for the shorts,” Bam tells my dad, throwing me right under the bus. I can’t read my dad’s expression. I’m sure he’s adjusting to me having a boyfriend. But I really want him to like Bam.
“I made the shorts, and I’m still a virgin.” There, that should rest his mind. Not mine, because I’m wondering when we’re going to get around to taking care of that.
“Josie.” My dad shakes his head, and I notice the top of Bam’s ears turning red.
I go with changing the subject altogether, bouncing over to my dad and doing a small jump before hugging him. Everyone is a million inches taller than me. He gives me a tight squeeze before kissing the top of my head.
“Bam, this is my dad, Abel.” I formally introduce them. Bam holds his hand out, and my dad takes it. “Are you guys doing that man squeeze thing?” Their hands drop.
“It’s nice to meet you, sir,” Bam tells him.
Dad lets out a deep breath. “Call me Abe,” he tells Bam. I beam up at him with a giant smile that I know will soften that heart of his a tad.
“You eat?”
