I put my hands in his hair and pull him to my mouth.
“I’m here,” I tell him, speaking against his lips before capturing them with my teeth.
Ian moans and I tighten my grip on his hair. He pants against my skin and I feel his beard rubbing against me. Then he bares down on me, taking one of my nipples in his mouth. I throw my head back and continue to move, sitting on top of him, helped along by his hands pushing against my hips as the heat rises quickly between my legs, ready to be rocked by another wave of pleasure.
He rises to whisper in my ear. “For me.”
And I do it.
I yell his name. I cry out and break myself onto him.
Ian yells a few seconds later, squeezing me tightly, with his face in my neck.
And he breaks himself onto me.
We stay as we are for a few minutes, lost in breathing against one another, then we put ourselves back together.
I’m inside him and he’s inside me.
Ian stretches out, bringing me with him. I lie on top of him as he caresses my back with his fingertips running along my spine. Then he lets me slide off of him so that I am now under him and he covers me completely.
“Tell me that everything’s okay,” he says seriously. “Tell me that this time no one’s going to run away or regret this or lose their mind over it.”
I look at him and smile. “None of those things are going to happen.”
He exhales and caresses my face with his hand.
“Riley Murray, you’re breathtaking, you know that?”
My heart swells in my chest,
“You’re not so bad yourself.”
He laughs, rolling onto his back and bringing me with him. I lie down and stretch out alongside him, resting my head on his chest. I caress his pecs, his shoulders and his arms. I hear him sigh every time I change the movement.
“Do you want to know what I really like?”
He turns his head to look at me better. I raise my gaze and let myself be taken in by the warmth in his eyes.
“This. You and me.”
He exhales deeply as if he had been holding his breath this whole time.
“I’m begging you, please don’t leave me in the middle of the night.”
And in this moment, with his eyes as sweet and melancholy as I’ve ever seen, Ian O’Connor takes my heart and I know he’ll never give it back.
