I look at her, confused.
“You and Patrick.”
I open my mouth to reply and then shut it
immediately. The truth is that I don’t know what to
say. Patrick and me? Nothing. Nothing is
happening. He’s worried about his employee, like
he’s already said more than once.

I don’t respond and Rain doesn’t ask. She’s like
that. She’ll throw out an argument just to see you
go into a panic and then leave everything in
suspense to make you reflect on it and go nuts.
