Jade laughed and flounced her way into his bedroom. There, she pulled on her jean shorts, which were super short with a shredded hole at the top of one leg in front and another one on her hip in the back. She tied a small knot in the bottom center of her tank top, raising the hem above her cute little belly button. In the bathroom, while he shaved and brushed his teeth, she combed her hair and borrowed his toothbrush. Back in the bedroom, he tugged on a pair of Levi’s and stepped into his black boots as she stepped into her red ones. Jade’s long, blond hair always fell into place, and her emerald green eyes sparkled with hidden mystery. As for those supple, full lips, they promised pleasure Chase longed to feel. With the tank top exposing her flat tummy, short shorts showing off her shapely legs, and the red boots, it made for one helluva seductive package.

“What?” she asked as he stared at her.

“You’re too beautiful for me.”

Jade’s mouth dropped open as she looked him up and down. “Says the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on from California to Colorado.”

Chase pulled her into his arms. His mouth came down on her, and his tongue slid between her lips, dipping deep and playing with her tongue. The kiss became their most passionate one yet. When her arms twined around his neck, she stood on tiptoes, and his hands kneaded her fanny with familiarity. His lower body responded, and it was with an ache and groan that he broke the kiss. He stepped her back and ran a hand through his hair. He glanced at the thick, sturdy bedpost nearest them and pictured her doing a red-hot pole dance. She followed his gaze and, evidently, his train of thought, because she arched a saucy brow.

“Let’s go, buttercup.”

“Lead the way, cowboy.”

He grabbed her hand, and they made their way through the house. She plucked her sandals up from the back porch where Cash had left them. In the backyard, they waved to Coop and Bob. Crockett ran to Chase and Jade, who petted him. Then, as they veered toward the garage, Crockett hurried back to Coop.

“Ever been on a bike?” Chase asked.

“Yes, I have one. But I haven’t ridden it since I moved here.”

“Because you’re not allowed? Right?”

“Right.” She nodded and stared at the ground.

“Then you really wouldn’t be allowed to ride my bike since I mean my Harley.”

“It’ll be my first time,” she said excitedly, meeting his gaze again. “Let’s do it!”

“Oh, baby,” he looked her up and down, “I want to.”

Jade chewed that full lower lip, and Chase’s body heated. He hadn’t completely cooled down since meeting her. He opened the garage door where his motorcycle stood parked next to his blueCorvette. Chase put her sandals in the motorcycle’s saddlebag. Helmets were not required in Colorado for people eighteen and older, but Chase never rode without one. He selected a shiny red helmet with a sunshield for Jade and helped her get it strapped on safely. Then he put on his usual matte black helmet, which also had a sunshield, swung a leg over the seat of the Harley, put the kickstand up, and backed the motorcycle out of the garage.

“How am I going to get on?” she asked.

“You’ll step onto the left foot peg,” Chase said and pointed. “Once you’re seated behind me, you’ll rest your feet on this left peg and the right one.”

“Got it,” she said, watching where he pointed.

Chase closed the garage door with a remote and started the engine. When he gave it gas, the Harley roared, and he saw Jade tremble. He stood and placed her delicate left hand on his shoulder. She stepped onto the peg, slid her right leg across the seat, and mounted. When he sat back down, she wrapped her arms around his waist, molded her breasts to his back, and her thighs to his hips. Smooth as glass. Much better than when she’d first mounted Jubilee. Having the truth from her about never being on a motorcycle, he’d done his part by giving her instructions. He could get used to having Jade in his daily life. Used to? He wanted her here.

“When we’re moving, sit in the center of the seat and lean the same way I lean.” Chase gave the engine gas, put his feet up, and nodded to Coop and Bob, who waved. “Don’t bump your helmet against mine.” When she assured him she wouldn’t, he steered the Harley around the house and down the horseshoe driveway.

“Go fast,” Jade said near his ear and wiggled herself tightly against him as they neared the Triple C Ranch-Central gate to the main road.

“I usually do,” he replied. But he hadn’t gone fast with her. In the past, he’d have already bedded a woman if she’d been with him every day since last Thursday. Not to mention taking a shower and spending the night with her. This was day five with Jade, and he hadn’t even seen her completely naked. “Hold on. We’re gonna speed up.”

“Woo-hoo!” Without bumping helmets, she held onto him with her arms and legs. He’d navigated this road riding a horse, behind a wheel, or holding handlebars all his life and knew it like the back of his hand. But he didn’t go as fast as he could because he wasn’t alone. He had Jade’s life in his hands. “We’regone with the wind, Chase!”

Chase placed his left hand on her bare thigh, giving her a squeeze. Both hands back on the handlebars when he curved around a bend, she leaned with him. When he straightened, so did she. He loved going fast, and she obviously did too. Once again, their connection was mental and physical. When Triple C Ranch-West came into view, he slowed and turned into the drive. Jade held on, leaned into the turn, and didn’t bump helmets. Coming to a stop, he put his boots to the ground. She hugged him with her arms and legs before letting go. Wow! With her, what a ride!

“Good job, Jade.”

“Pays to be truthful whether it’s a horse or a Harley.”

Chase nodded and stood. Using the left peg, she did as well and gracefully dismounted. He put the kickstand down, and they removed their helmets, leaving them on the bike. Grabbing her hand, they entered the house and met up with Chloe and Rachel in the kitchen.

The Denver omeletswere soon served and declared delicious by everyone. After they’d eaten and visited, Chase said he’d be on his way so that Jade could pack or do whatever she needed to since it was her last day at the bed-and-breakfast. She walked him back outside to his motorcycle, where he retrieved her sandals. He gave them to her and mounted his Harley.
