“I can’t hurt you physically but there are other ways,” I warn him as I make my way to the tree. There’s no one around, so I climb it quickly. I remain on a lower branch, standing. While Ren takes his time to reach me, I take the mask out of my hoodie and wear it.

“You look creepy as fuck. Like Lori with one of his beauty mud remedies on.” His body shakes with disgust.

The mask is military-grade and serves its fucking purpose.

“Nice point of view.” He whistles, taking a seat on the next branch. “I bet you have one at my place, too, for when Sully comes to visit. The pet shelter as well.”

I ignore him, my eyes turn to Sully’s room. He’s grabbing his towel and toiletries bag to take a shower; he always does after ending a shift at the pet shelter. Will he smell my cum on it? Fuck, but I like that.

“Did Ramiel tell you?”

“Nope. Dare found out, and we bros keep no secrets from each other.”

I grab my phone and send a text.

Me:

Fucker!

Ramiel:

This about Dare?

Ramiel:

Fucking Ren

Ramiel:

Don’t kill him. It’s not his time yet

Of course he knows I’m with him.

Me:

Fucker!

Ramiel:

Bit repetitive, don’t you think?

“Sully is my friend, I wanted to see it for myself,” Ren continues, as I pocket my phone.

Sully went to the showers. I lean on the tree branch and turn to look at Ren. “Satisfied?”

“I don’t get it.” He pauses. “I could see a moment ago how much you wanted to…feast on him. Why not hit on him? What is stopping you? You aren’t afraid of the bros and clearly don’t care about the law…”

The law? Laws are guidelines for me to adjust, jump over, or erase completely. I apply logic and go my own way. And it’s true I’m not afraid of the vigilante team, but I made a deal.

“There’s more to it, isn’t there?” This boy is too perceptive for his own good.

“Tell me what I don’t know,” I order him. I have no intention of revealing anything to him, not when I’m so close to getting what I want.

He studies me for a moment. “A week ago, Sully was almost hit by a car.”

All the muscles in my body turn cold as I hear about this for the first time.

“Now I’m satisfied,” I think he mutters before saying, “I pushed him out of the way, against a tree.”
