"Wow," Drake finally croaked. "That was—"

"Yeah," I chuckled, basking in the warm afterglow.

Dane said nothing, just lay between us, his fingers drawing little patterns on both of our skin.

I finally pushed up, looking out at the crashing waves.

"Don't even think about it," Dane said, his eyes closed.

I pushed out my bottom lip. "You don't even know what I was thinking."

"Any other beach, I'd join you. The surf here is too rough. I'm not dragging your ass out of a riptide."

I raised an eyebrow, a mischievous little part of me bubbling to the surface. "But I thought you were big, brave Marines. Surely you can keep me safe if I'm only up to my knees."

Dane opened one eye, sending me a frown. "Not falling for it."

"But I'm all sticky—"

He sighed, sitting up. "Fine, but only to your knees."

"Promise."

Under the light of the half-moon, the stars looking on, we frolicked in the waves, my two men looking after both my body and my heart—determined to keep me safe.

As we returned to the car, a siren flickered on, screaming into the quiet night as lights flashed red and blue.

"Shit!" I squeaked, slapping a hand over my pubic area and an arm over my breasts. "It's the police!"

I dashed to our car, throwing myself into the back and crouching down. Drake and Dane cackled, both politely cupping their junk but following at a more leisurely pace.

The cruiser stopped, and a police officer climbed out of the driver's seat.

"Dane? Drake? That you guys?"

"Howdy, Sheriff.” Dane lifted a hand in greeting. "Nice night for a swim.”

I peeked through the window, watching the new Sheriff, Tristan Rodriguez, run a hand through his hair.

"Thought you guys were some rowdy kids I'd have to write up for underage drinking." He quirked his eyebrow, and even in the dark, I could see the amusement on his face. "Looks like it's just for public nudity."

The men laughed while I slid back down in the seat, my cheeks burning with mortification.

"We're just about to head home," Drake explained, nodding at the car. "Gotta get Blue inside before she catches a cold."

I'd gone to school with Tristan Rodriguez. I'd even had a crush on him once upon a time—before Honey admitted she liked him and way before Drake and Dane came on the scene.

Come to think of it, Honey is still single…

"Alright," the Sheriff laughed. "Consider this a warning. You guys have a good night."

He went back to his cruiser, quickly heading off.

Dane and Drake took their sweet time, drying off, dressing, then slid into the front and passenger seats. They both twisted, looking at me over the console, grinning.

"You can both go fuck yourselves," I told them, pulling on my shirt.

"Only if you watch."
