“I hate to interrupt the love fest going on back there, but we’re closing in on our destination. We need to alert the team, make a plan,” Carter said from the frontseat.
“Tomi, tell me you love me.” Cole’s soft command caught her off guard. Her breathhitched.
“I love you,” she said in a tremblyvoice.
Cole blew out a long sigh, his hands remained clamped on her. “I can work with that. As long as I know you love me.” Before she could speak, his mouth captured hers in a searing kiss that robbed her of her senses and left her tumbling mindlessly into the pleasure he offered sowillingly.
It was Cole who finally broke the kiss. His lips butterflied over her nose and cheeks, she reveled in his gentlecaress.
“I can’t think with you in my lap,” he admitted with a ruefulgrin.
Her heart warmed so much she thought it might melt inside her chest. “Are you saying I’m a distraction to the mighty ColeFury?”
Cole’s arms dropped to her waist and he yanked her against his chest, every inch of packed muscle pressing into her sensitive skin. “You drive me crazy, baby.”
“Not fair, she drove us crazy too,” Clint said in a petulantvoice.
Tomi chuckled and wrapped her arms around Cole, nuzzling hisneck.
Cole growled, the action sending deep vibrations through her entire body. “She’smine.”
“You say this like we don’t know,” Carter said from behindher.
A rush of euphoria hit her and she nipped his neck, savoring his sweet gasp. “There’s only one thing wrong with thatstatement.”
Cole gripped her hips, jamming his hard length against her, the fabric of their pants doing nothing to shield his arousal. “And what’sthat?”
Tomi nibbled on his earlobe, savoring the rush of feminine power as chills raced across his flesh. “You’remine.”

That’s it.She was going to drive him crazy. He should be planning the mission, dealing with Stahl’s double-cross and all he could think about was ripping off those loose sweatpants and bearing himself to the hilt insideher.
Tomi licked the shell of his ear. Cole closed his eyes in ecstasy. Fuck the mission. He had his hand in the waist line of her pants when Carter, not so eloquently, loudly cleared his throat. “I think I can wait until after we deal with the asshole behindus.”
Tomi, the little minx, giggled. “Can’t handle thedistraction?”
Cole drew in a deep, long and totally useless breath. His attempt to get his raging hard on under control completely futile. With regret, he picked Tomi up and sat her on the seat beside him, and then for his own sanity, reached across her, grabbed the seatbelt and snapped it into place. There, that should keep her still fornow.
She arched her blonde brows in his direction, letting him know she knew exactly what he was doing andwhy.
Cole wrapped his hand around her neck, pulled her across the seat and planted a firm dominating kiss on her lips. When he released her, her cheeks were flushed and her eyes were dazed. Cole nodded, satisfied that he’d accomplished his goal. Then he turned back to his brothers, knowing that if he kept staring at Tomi all flushed and hot and needy, he wouldn’t be able to do a damnthing.
“Call the team,” Colesaid.
Carter already had his phone in his hand. “Onit.”
Cole glanced over his shoulder, the second SUV was incrementally gaining on them. If they hadn’t been playing so close attention, they wouldn’t have even noticed. “Clint, put some distance between us and the car. I don’t want to get into a firefight on the road, not with Tomi inhere.”
“Roger that.” Clint’s hands ground around the steering wheel, a look of anticipation filtering across his face. The SUV accelerated, holding the distance between them and the carbehind.
Carter was nodding quietly into the other line. A moment later he hung up and turned back towards Cole. “That was McKay. He’s got Troy, Donham and Marsh with him. Hasn’t heard from Rico yet, but three of Stahl’s agents showed up. They set up a loose perimeter right behind them. Way it sits now, Stahl’s men have us in a killing field. They could pick us off like sitting ducks. McKay is going to stay put and distract the agents while the other three flank around and take them out. We should be clear to do this at thesite.”
“Not the perfect set up, but it’s the only choice we’ve got.” If Cole had his way, they’d move to an alternate location, bring the team in and ambush them all. But if they deviated from their path, Stahl would know something was up. He might move in and attack their SUV. Cole wouldn’t risk a wreck, not with Tomi in here. “How muchfurther?”
“Five minutes. The rate of speed we’re going, maybe four.” Clint’s voice slipped into that matter-of-fact tone they all did when they were on amission.
