He rumbled with approval she felt in her damn soul. “Then come for me, Jen. Right now.”

His cock twitched as he sank inside her again, and the sensation of his release mixed with the vibrato of his words catapulted her into the horizon. Jenna cried out, every part of her clinging tightly to him as ecstasy rolled through her like a tidal wave.

Hertidal wave.

Her lips twitched and a breathless, spontaneous giggle slipped free.

Jon moved on hand to her ass and pressed his lips to her shoulder. “Something funny?”

“Mm,” she hummed. “Maybe I start calling you Mr. Tidal Wave from now on.”

Jon snorted. “Jen, I think it’s against the law to joke about that in Florida.”

She laughed harder and clung tighter when he stepped away from the wall without dropping her. “Oh my God, that is not the response I expected.”

He turned his head to nip teasingly at her neck, then eased their bodies apart and swiftly pulled her panties back into place. As heat rushed to her face when she realized his intention, he curled a finger beneath her chin and guided her gaze up to his. “I’ll be whatever you need me to be, Mama.” He leaned in and kissed her swollen lips softly. “Love you,” he murmured.

It was stupid that she felt more flustered after the soft, tender moment than from the fact that he’d just pinned her against the wall of their hotel room and fucked her like a madman. She blamed her wild hormones.

Jenna laid a hand over her belly, where the baby bump was only beginning to protrude, and said, “I just need you to be mine.”

Her life had gotten so much better since Jon had washed back into it. They’d hit a few obstacles early on, but everything was going so well with their mutually thriving businesses and the warmth of a stronger community around them, it felt like the future was so bright it was almost glaring. And their little girl would get to grow up in that shiny future, with a bunch of scary and overprotective uncles and two parents who loved her like crazy. And, maybe, if Jon played his cards right, maybe that little girl would get a sibling one day, too.

First, they needed a dog.

“C’mon,” Jon said, pressing his hand to the small of her back and guiding her toward the door. “We’re late and we promisedyour parents we’d spend some time with them before we fly home.”

Jenna laughed lightly and let him lead her into the hall, watching as he tugged the door firmly shut and tested the handle. “Uh-huh, and who’s fault is it that we’re late, dear husband?”

His eyes darkened as his arm came around her again and he pulled her flush to his side to walk down the hall. He leaned down to whisper in her ear, “Yours, wife.”
