“So, what happened with the auction?” Marin asks, grabbing a glazed donut for herself.

The auction.I haven’t thought about it once since Ryker said he’d take care of everything. Another bonus of having a man who genuinely cares for you. The weight of my problems, even the ones I created, feel lighter.

I lick frosting off my fingers and grab my phone from the pocket of my hoodie, pulling up the app. “I don’t know how he did it, but the message says the buyer canceled, so… there’s no penalty for me. In fact, since thebuyercanceled,he owes me money.” I shake my head and narrow my brows.

“How much money?”

“Five percent of the purchase price. It’s a total scam, ‘cause if I’d canceled, I’d have owed him fifty percent.”

She narrows her brows as though the math isn’t mathing. “And how did Ryker pull that off?”

I shrug. “I don’t know. Last night got complicated once Benny showed up. I didn’t get a chance to ask.”

“Well,” she glances down at her phone, “you can go ask him now. Looks like the bar is clear. He wants me back in for work.”

I peek down at my texts to see a message waiting for me as well.

Ryker: I need you here. Come see me now.

A giddy, little shock of happiness shoots up my spine and into my groin.

“Oh God, is he texting you?” Marin shakes her head playfully and stands from the table, stuffing the rest of her donut in her mouth.

I tuck my phone against my chest and grin. “Maybe… I think I’ll ride back to town with you.”

She nods and I type up my reply.

Me: What are you going to do to me when I get there?

Three dots appear immediately as though he’s been waiting for my response. Then finally, after what feels like an eternity waiting, his text appears.

Ryker: I need to taste you.

My pussy clenches, and though I’m not wearing panties today, I feel the seam of my leggings dot with wetness. A wetness I can’t wait to have satisfied.

Chapter Ten

Ryker

The second I see Ivy’s light blonde hair bouncing into the distillery, every stress in my head disappears. It’s only been three hours, but damn, I missed her. I don’t know how I thought I’d have gotten through the day without her here with me.

My sweet little troublemaker. The one person I can’t live without.

She makes her way across the bar, a bright come get me smile on her face.

Jesus Christ. I want to claim her right here in front of everyone with a big fat kiss and a squeeze on the ass, but I can’t.

Not yet. Not here. Not with Benny staring at us from the other side of the bar. Thankfully, this morning was such a whirlwind with the redneck drama that he didn’t ask any questions, which is good because I’m not sure what I’d have said after what happened first thing this morning.

My cock swells as I think about my sweet girl on her knees for me, sucking me dry, desperate to make me happy, desperate for my come.

God damn. I might not care who knows. I could bend her over right here in this distillery and give her every inch of me all over again.

She smiles in my direction and tosses her hair over her shoulder, passing by me with a glance before making her wayover to Benny for a hug. I know she’s hugging her brother, and I know she should’ve passed me to protect the secret we’re hiding, but something very jealousy-like rushes over me, and I’m not having it.

“Ivy,” I bark, my voice rougher than intended. “I need you in my office.”

She narrows her gaze toward me and bites back a grin as she shuffles her thick thighs toward my office door at the back of the bar.
