“Is that all?” she whispered against his ear, gently biting his earlobe.

She felt him smile and moaned when he reciprocated by biting her nipple and before she knew what was happening, he had lifted her and pressed her into the carpet. The pile chafed her back, but she didn’t care. Nothing mattered. Because in this position, Gareth could go even deeper, could go even harder. He was able to kiss her neck and take greater possession of her mouth as he pulled out and thrust into her again. He slid a hand between their bodies and pressed his thumb against her most sensitive spot.

An unholy sound rippled from Hazel’s throat. She closed her eyes, wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his back, and began to twitch, but Gareth suddenly slowed the rhythm, and withdrew his thumb, not letting her finish yet…

“Look into my eyes,” he commanded. “I want to see you come.”

She opened her eyes and looked at him, her breath ragged in time with his thrusts — as Gareth buried himself deep inside her, roughly rubbing her clit.

She came so hard, her hips jerking so violently that Gareth almost slipped out of her. But he held her tight. With his gaze, his hand, and his shaft, which he drove into her again as she contracted around him, tearing at her body with wave after sweet wave as he prolonged her orgasm with his thumb and cock. Finally he relinquished his control, followed her into the abyss, and kissed her as he came inside her.

Hazel collapsed, gasping for breath. Absently, she wrapped both arms around his back, holding him in place. His forehead rested against hers, his heavy breathing in her ear.

“That was…”

“I know,” she whispered, gently kissing his frantically beating pulse. “We haven’t forgotten anything.”

She felt his laughter all over her body. “No. I’d say we’ve gotten even better.”

No.Hehad gotten better. How the hell could it be that the guy contradicted her every time they spoke, but gave her everything she wanted and needed as soon as they were naked?

Maybe they should only negotiate contracts between the sheets. Then she might even be able to keep her gummy bear clauses.

But it would be ethically...um extremely, uh…reprehensible if they…if they…

“Shit,” she whispered, digging her fingers into the fabric of his open shirt. “Shit, no one can find out what just happened here, Gareth!”

He raised his head and an eyebrow. “And I was just about to video chat with my sister.”

She wasn’t in the mood to laugh. Oh, fuck. If it got out that she, as an agent, was sleeping with the owner of the Hawks… It would be a disaster. Oh God. She felt sick. She pushed against his shoulders, causing him to roll off her, and she hastily sat up and put on her underwear. Why the hell hadn’t she thought of that sooner? She’d been working for years to be taken seriously in the industry. And now...

“Oh no,” she whispered, rubbing her face. “Gareth, no one in the organization can find out, do you understand?” She looked at him sharply. “No one in the entire hockey world.”

He sighed and slowly sat up. “I wasn’t planning on making it known.”

Right. Privacy meant just as much to him. Technically, she had more to lose, but if his sister found out he’d slept with an agent, Gareth wouldn’t be allowed to touch players’ contracts with a pair of ten-foot poles. No, no one would find out, and they wouldn’t have a problem. It wasn’t like they ever wanted their affair to be public!

“Okay.” She nodded. “Okay, you’re right. Then you can go now.”

He blinked. “Sorry?”

“You can go. It’s only sex, right? No cuddling, no sleepover…”

“Ah.” He nodded and stepped into his boxer briefs. “So those are the rules, yes?”

Hmm. That was a good point. How careless of them to sleep together without making any rules!

“You’re right,” she said firmly. “We need rules. I…” She took a deep breath and forced herself to look at him – at his face, nothis bare chest, even though it took some willpower. “I can’t just sleep with you, Gareth. We’re business associates. Besides, if this gets out, I’ll lose my integrity and my clients’ trust. The whole industry would accuse me of securing business advantages for myself or giving you discounts because of it. It’s not that simple; we need some new clauses.”

Surprised, he opened his mouth. “So, you don’t want to…stop?”

She laughed in disbelief. “Are you stupid? For once I don’t want to kill you and the only reason for it is that you gave me two fantastic orgasms. It would be reckless of us to stop this whole thing before the tension between us is gone and we’ve…had enough. What if we become even more aggressive because we know what we could actually do instead of arguing?”

Besides, she would sleep with whomever she wanted. She wouldn’t let the world dictate what she could and couldn’t do. And she desperately needed this to finally eliminate the damn tension between them.

But that also meant they had to be very careful.

Gareth grinned. “I can’t refute your argument. This is a shining example of logic.”
