After the front door closes, Maya gives me a look I have no trouble interpreting. Her gorgeous features broadcast her desire.

“Are you tired? You were up all night.”

I shake my head, staring at her mouth.

As much as I want to devour her, I’m enjoying savoring this. I want to know if it’s making her as crazy as I’ve been with my obsession for her.

She leans against the counter. I close the distance between us and brace my hands against it on either side of her. My chin dips to bring our faces closer together. She closes her eyes, looking so damn inviting.

“Looks like we’re all alone.”

EIGHTEEN

MAYA

Without Reagan here for buffer,it’s impossible to resist the tension that’s been building between me and Easton throughout breakfast with his sneaky touches. He keeps brushing against me while we wash up.

I thought he was going to tear my clothes off the minute Reagan left for class, but after being all seductive saying we’re alone, he turned on the sink. My neck still tingles from those torturous stolen kisses, and I want more.

He glances at me. “Are you going to tell Reagan?”

“I will. We tell each other everything. Sorry, I didn’t mean to put you in a weird spot.”

“It’s okay. I’m glad you’re going to talk to her. Want me to go with you to campus security?”

“I’ll stop by after class. And yes, before you insist again, I’m going to get the locks changed.”

“And?” he prompts.

“Andstop hiding my spare outside.”

“Good girl.”

“It’s morning,” I point out again.

Easton accepts the plate I hand him to dry. His eyes hood, moving over me in a slow perusal that makes me rub my thighs together.

I tilt my head to the side, peering up through my lashes. “Reagan won’t be back for a while. I don’t have to go to my morning class because I already submitted my paper early before break. So…”

His tongue swipes across his lower lip, then he sets aside the last plate on the drying rack. I angle my body to face his, more than ready for him to take care of the unbearable ache between my legs.

He doesn’t swoop in to capture my mouth in a searing kiss. Or crush my body to his. Or toss me over his shoulder to take me to bed, like all of the spicy romance books I borrow from Reagan promise.

Rather than any of that, he rests his hips against the island, widening his stance so there’s not as much of a height difference between us.

Holding my gaze, his hand pushes beneath his shirt to do that irresistibly sexy thing guys do when they scratch their torso with long, slow strokes. It gives me a tantalizing flash of his abs. Desire burns through my veins and my throat goes dry.

God, he’s so hot.

And Iwanthim.

I resisted that truth for far too long, but I’m not denying it any longer.

“Are you going to make me spell it out?” I step into him, sliding my palms up his firm chest.

He gives me a slow grin. “Spell what out?”

My mouth pops open. I know what he’s doing. He’s holding out on me so I’ll be the one to make the first move after he got me all hot and bothered.
