Patting her ass, I pull her off my softening cock and she rolls to the side.

“Will you be a good girl while I’m away?”

“Yes, I promise.”

I roll over to kiss her cheek and gather her close. Never fuckin’ liked sleepin’ with a woman before.

Now, I can’t sleep unless I got my girl in my arms.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Karina

I’m soexcited to get home this afternoon. Dante texted this morning and said he should be home for dinner. He has to stop at the clubhouse first and then he’s coming home to spend the weekend with me.

Before leaving for school, I pulled out a crock-pot and threw in a package of chicken breasts. As soon as I get home, I add in a jar of green salsa, jalapenos, an onion, and some other ingredients. I realize I’m missing a few things, so I grab my purse and run down to the local market.

When I get back, a motorcycle I don’t recognize is in the driveway. At first, I’m scared. Then I see Logan sitting on the porch. As much as we don’t seem to get along lately, he’d never hurt me.

“What are you doing here?” I call out. Walking around to the back of my car, I pull out my grocery bags.

Logan stomps down off the porch. “So it’s true? You really are living with him?”

“Yes.” I barely hold in my gasp when I take in his face. The fight he got into with Dante last week was pretty bad, but he should have healed by now.

“What happened?”

“Got into some trouble on the run I just got back from.”

I don’t know what to say to that.

He jerks his chin. “He buy you a fuckin’ car?”

I’m not liking his tone, but I answer anyway. “Yeah, so I can get to school.”

“Christ, Karina, I never pictured you turnin’ into a fuckin’ whore.”

Pain slashes through me. He’s taking the nice things Dante’s done for me and turning them into something ugly. Even though he can be pretty kinky, Dante’s never once made me feel dirty or ashamed aboutanything. With one sentence, Logan makes me doubt everything.

I’m furious, but I don’t know how to respond.

“Don’t be such an asshole,” I finally snap back.

He shakes his head as he approaches me. “Dante sent me. Club’s on lockdown. Go inside and grab some stuff. I gotta bring you to our safe house.”

What? What the hell does that mean? And I don’t believe for a second Dante would trust Logan to take me anywhere.

“Why didn’t he call and tell me himself?”

Logan rolls his eyes like I’m the stupidest girl he’s ever met. “He ain’t got time to deal with you. This is big shit he’s gotta handle. Be thankful he even remembered to send me at all.”

Tears sting my eyes. While that’s probably true, it hurts to hear it. Especially from Logan.

He rests his hands on my shoulders and stares into my eyes. Maybe he senses his harsh words hurt my feelings, because his tone is much gentler. “Come on. Go grab enough stuff to get you through to Monday. Dante’s going to meet us up there.”

“Maybe I should call him and see if he wants me to bring anything for him?”

“Can’t. He’s in a meeting with Romeo. Won’t answer his phone. Go on, hurry up.”
