He grinds his erection against my ass before answering. “Yeah, because I wanted to fuck you.”
“Well, you did.”
He makes this low, sexy, humming sound against my ear. “Sure did. Gonna do it again. Soon. Real soon, Kady.”
“You think that’s a good idea?”
“Fuck yeah, I do.”
He slips one arm around my waist and leans down to kiss my neck. “I gotta go. Stay out of trouble.”
“I will.”
I can’t turn around and watch him leave.
Once he’s gone, I collapse into one of the dining room chairs. What the fuck am I going to do?
Well, first I call Karina. It’s been weird to find I had a sister I never even knew about. Weird for both of us probably. I’ve only spent a little bit of time with my new-found sister, but we’ve grown close.
“Kadence! Are you all right?”
“I’m fine. Did you get home okay last night?”
“Yes, but I saw those guys pull up behind your car. I called Dante right away. What happened?”
So that’s how Bolt got there so fast. Thank God for my quick-thinking sister.
“It’s nothing. That girl who threw her drink on me? We went to high school together. Her dad’s the president of Red Storm MC. Dante must have called my ex-stepfather?”
“I guess.”
“Well, they all got there just in time. Thank you, Karina.”
She sighs. “Dante says next time you’re coming over here.”
“Aw, is your big, scary man not gonna let you come out to play with me?” I tease.
“Pretty much.” Her laughter erases all the tension from the morning. “Consider it a compliment. He doesn’t invite just anyone into his home.”
From living in Bolt’s home for years, I know this is an outlaw biker thing. Secretive. Safety first. Happens when you live outside the law.
“Did Athena head back to LA?”
Karina chuckles, and I can almost picture her rolling her eyes. “Not yet. Her last day home is always reserved for Romeo.”
Since we share a deadbeat, two-timing father, I can understand how Karina hooked up with her older, scary biker boyfriend. I have no idea how her goody-two-shoes prissy best friend hooked up with the president of the Iron Bulls, though.
“I’m sure he’ll be back to nailing club pussy as soon as she’s gone.”
This time Karina doesn’t laugh. “Uh, I don’t think so.”
God, she’s naive. Still, there’s something sweet about my sister I love.
We talk a little longer, then hang up.
I spend the rest of the day catching up on television shows. No word from Blaise.
Around nine, I decide to take a shower and get ready for bed. I can’t deny there’s an undercurrent of fear running through me. Worried about Blaise. What he’s up to.
