I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her closer. “Why, baby? You worried about me?”

She glances back to the kid they have to carry out of the ring. “Will you be mad and have to prove yourself if I say yes?”

“No. I like knowing you care about me.”

She reaches up and brushes her hand against my cheek. “Of course I care about you.”

“Fighting doesn’t turn you on?”

“No. I already know you can handle yourself.” She peeks up at me through her lashes. “And you know how to handle me.”

My hand slides down, gripping her ass and pulling her up and into my body. “Damn right I do,” I mumble against her mouth. Our lips meet, and she teases her tongue against mine. My dick responds immediately, punching against my zipper. Kady reacts by moaning into my mouth.

“Get a room!” someone shouts. It takes me a second to realize they’re yelling at us.

Kady backs away and drops her gaze to the ground. Romeo approaches and hands me a key. “Your dad already took a room upstairs. I got one left downstairs. You two might as well grab it.”

“Thanks.” I pull Kadence with me and check in with my guys before dragging her down the hall to our room for the night.

“Is this weird?” she asks after I close the door behind us. “Weird for you, I mean. Staying at another club’s place?”

I don’t want to admit to her that it makes me uneasy. Truth is, I’m uneasy anywhere I don’t have complete control over the security. “Nah, it’s fine. Enough Dragons are staying over.”

She watches me flip the locks and shove a chair against the door without comment.

No matter how well the Iron Bulls have treated us tonight, we’re still under another club’s roof. The last thing I do before climbing into bed with her?

Set my gun on the nightstand.

Early this morning, my sister sent me a text saying she left clothes for me outside our door. Something I appreciate since I slept in my skirt and halter-top.

Blaise mumbles a few words about me not needing clothes while I slip out of bed.

An hour later, we’re in the dining room having breakfast with my sister, Dante, Romeo, and Athena.

It’s like the world’s weirdest triple date.

Then Bolt comes in with his two bunnies from last night, and weird moves into supremely awkward.

The girls cater to him in a way that’s almost embarrassing. My gaze strays to my man, who’s watching the scene with more than a hint of annoyance lining his face.

My sister also dotes on her man, but something about them is almost sweet since Dante doesn’t demand it and seems to appreciate even the smallest gesture.

I guess they’re not so bad together.

Luck and Amy show up next. I can’t figure out what they are. Karina doesn’t seem as bothered by them this morning. And I can’t figure that out, either.

Romeo nods at Amy. “You still heading home Monday?”

“I’ll be back before the end of next month.”

Luck glances down at Amy. I guess no one told him she’s leaving.

When the guys finish, Romeo jerks his head to the side. “Chapel,” he says to the guys. It’s an order, not an invitation.

“Christ, you’re a cock-blocking bastard,” Bolt jokes.

Romeo sneers. “You made out fine, old man.”
