Here we go.

The hulking six-foot plus dude takes a seat next to Karina and slips his arm behind her. “Everything all right, sweetheart?”

I watch as she leans back against him, completely comfortable with this guy, who is most definitelynother scary-ass boyfriend.

My eyes must be bugging out of my head.

“Luck, you’ve met my sister, Kadence, right?”

“Sure have. How are you, sweetheart?”

“Fine.”

His mouth pulls into a slight smirk. “You here with your man?”

“Yes,” I answer quickly. “He’s in the chapel with some of the other guys. How come you weren’t invited?”

“Not your concern.” He brushes his hand over Karina’s shoulder. “You need anything?”

“Luck.” One of the guys calls from the chapel door. “Get in here.”

As soon as the chapel door shuts behind Luck, I jam my elbow into Karina’s side. “Are you nuts?” I whisper.

The wide-eyed, open-mouth expression on her face is pure innocence.

“You’re either going to get that guy killed…or…”

“Luck? He and Dante are good friends.”

“That’s even worse. You can’t flirt with a brother.”

“I wasn’tflirtingwith him. Trust me, it’s fine,” she says this time with more force.

“Wait a minute. Are the three of you—”

“No!” She cuts me off, but her cheeks are so red, I’m convinced I’m on the right path.

“Wow. Lucky you.”

She shakes her head and flips her hair over her shoulder. “You have an overactive imagination.”

I glance around the room again. “So, I guess being Dante’s girl makes you untouchable?”

She follows my line of sight. “I guess. I don’t worry about it.”

Christ, my sister is like a little lamb in a room full of…well, bulls.

Bolt, Blaise, and the rest of the Savage Dragons crew leave the chapel, and the three guys from the other club are called in.

“You doing all right, Kadence?” Bolt asks on his way to the bar.

I nod at him. “Better now,” I answer when Blaise plucks me off the couch and settles me on his lap.

“Hey, Kadydid.” He’s wearing a big grin, so I guess the Dragons and Bulls worked something favorable out. “Miss me?”

“Actually, yes.” I press my fingertips to his cheek and turn him to face me. As soon as our eyes lock, he closes the last bit of distance between us and catches my lips with his. I open my mouth to protest, but he sweeps his tongue against mine. I gasp and press my body against him. He groans and slides his hand under my shirt, gripping my waist.

Aware that we’re in a clubhouse full of people who include my sister and my ex-stepfather, I pull away.
