"Very."
He slides out, then thrusts back in with one swift movement. I wasn't expecting that, but I like it. He keeps going with those fast movements before slowing it down. Chad would've been done by now.
I shouldn't keep thinking about Chad. I only do because it's a reminder of what I missed out on being with him. But he's gone now so I shove him out of my brain and focus on Dean. He's picking up speed again, and I feel myself climbing, even higher than before.
"Oh, God, yes!" I cry out, grabbing the blanket and holding on as that sweet wonderful feeling courses through me.
Dean is still going, even faster now, his muscles tensing up. I hear his deep sexy groan as he jerks forward, and then relaxes. He takes a moment to breathe, then gets off me and off the bed.
"Back in a minute," he says, leaving the room. I'd like to clean up too but I can't move. My limbs feel loose, like I couldn't even stand if I wanted to.
Dean returns, sliding up beside me in bed. "Is your curiosity satisfied?"
I smile. "That, and many other parts of me."
He kisses me. "I'd love to stay here but we should probably get up. Jake will be home soon."
We get up and get dressed and I follow him out to the kitchen.
"You want something to eat?" he asks.
"No, I'm good. Can we talk a minute? Before Jake gets here?"
Dean comes over to me. “Go ahead.“
"What we just did, is that the only time that'll happen?"
His brows draw together. "What are you talking about?"
"The rumor is you only do it once with a girl."
"Who said that?"
"A lot of people. They say you won't do it more than that because you don't want the girl to get attached to you and want a relationship."
"There's no rule about it being one time. If the girl's okay with keeping it casual we might keep it going for weeks."
"What aboutme? Do you trust that I can keep this casual?"
"Brook, why are we talking about this?"
"Because I don't want to lose what we have. If we keep doing what we just did and you think it's turning into more, you'll push me away and I don't want that to happen. I don't want to lose you as a friend."
"I wouldn't push you away."
"Yes you would. You do it every time you think we're getting too close, or when something bad happens. Like today, you wouldn't even talk to me at school."
"I had a lot on my mind. I wasn't in the mood to talk."
"But if you had, I could've helped you."
He walks past me to the living room. "I'm used to dealing with shit on my own. I've never had anyone I could count on so I've learned not to."
I go over to him. "But now you have me."
He doesn't respond.
"I'm going to go." I reach up and kiss him. "Think about what I said. If you want us to go back to being just friends without the other stuff, I'll be okay with that. It's not what I want but it's better than losing our friendship. I know being friends with a girl isn't something you normally do, but I want you to think about it, and decide if youcouldwant that. If you can't, then you need to tell me. Don't just shut me out like you did today." I walk to the door. "I want to continue this, Dean, but not if you keep pushing me away. One of these times I'm not going to run back to you. I can't keep doing that. You need to decide what you want."
