"Scott and Reaper. And, I had this delivered this morning for you," she smiles, setting the tray with a bowl of grits and a plate of toast down. I look in the bowl to find two sunny side up eggs atop the grits and my stomach rumbles at the sight. My favorite breakfast.

"Thank you for breakfast, love. Can you send Scott and Reaper in and give us a few minutes?"

She smiles as she kisses my cheek. "Already planned on it, baby."

Lilly leaves the room as Scott and Reaper come walking in. Scott, looking smug as hell, sits on the chaise lounge and props a foot on the edge of my nightstand. Reaper stands beside him, arm resting on the back of the chaise lounge behind Scott.

"Good morning," I say, taking a bite of my breakfast.

"Good morning. How's the shoulder?" Scott asks.

"Sore as a motherfucker, but I'll live."

"Bad grass," Scott muses, shaking his head.

"You want some breakfast?" I ask.

Reaper shakes his head. "Nah, Scott got me up with the damn chickens and we ate two hours ago."

I laugh. "Oh yeah. That motherfucker never sleeps."

"What do I owe the pleasure of this early visit? I ask.

Reaper takes a seat beside Scott, intertwining his fingers together before he speaks. "We are working on utilizing every outlet we have to locate Gater and the others involved. I just have one question for you. Will I be storing the package for you or will you need it delivered?" Reaper asks.

"I think I can come to you for pick up if you can store it for me."

Reaper nods. "Yes. I've got the perfect place to host you and your guests. Let me make a few phone calls."

Reaper steps out of the sliding glass door and presses his phone to his ear. I find myself grateful for the company that I surround myself with. Grateful for the brotherhood that exists, not only inside of my club, but in other clubs as well.

“We’re going to take care of them, once and for all, Cass. I give you my word,” Scott says.

I look him in the eye and know that he means that statement with his entire soul. He will see to it himself or he will die trying. We all will.

“I can’t believe after a decade this is where we stand. Gater has been here through a hell of a lot of life. And now he will be the one on the other side of that coin.” Unfortunately, that is the current reality. I always knew that he had a wire crossed, but to go this far into a betrayal, to kidnap my fiancé, to attemptmurder? I never would have believed it if it weren’t for seeing it with my own eyes.

Images flicker through my mind of the night that he made the decision to take my life. He shot me and left me for dead on side of that interstate and that’s all the convincing I need to take his life with my own two hands if given the chance. I won’t fuck it up the way he did me.

Reaper enters the room wearing a shit eating grin. “We got him.”

I smile the most wicked feeling smile. “I can’t wait to come visit.”

“I’m heading out. I’ve got to get him ready for you,” Reaper says, walking out. Scott rises from the lounge. “I’ll walk you out. Aaron will escort you back to Gulfport. Call if you need anything,” he says on their way out of the room.

I’m impressed that they were able to find them so quickly and so easily, but I shouldn’t be. The Tattered Saints have long dabbled into worlds I don’t venture off into very often. I’m not big on torture, generally. That’s Snapper’s specialty. I’d rathershoot the fuckers in the head and go on about my business, but I’m a simple guy.

Adrenaline spikes through my veins at the thought of stepping back into my old shoes for a moment, and I can’t think of a person on this fucking earth that is more deserving than Gater. My shoulder may be out of commission, but there are plenty of routes I can utilize that don’t require my shoulder. Besides, Scott will be more than happy to use his shoulder in my place.

Scott strides back into the room. “I’ll head to the clubhouse. Who’s coming with us?”

“Just the two of us. We don’t need the cavalry. This started with us and it’ll end with us.”

He nods. “I’ll get my truck and then I’ll pick you up once we get the all-clear from Reap.”

“Thanks, brother.”

The sound of Scott’s motorcycle cranking then slowly disappearing into the distance is a comfort. This will all be over soon. I get up and make my way into the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower, though I’m not sure how well that’s going to work with these bandages. I manage, though. Once I’m clean and nearly in tears from moving my arm too much, Lilly comes walking through the door.
