“We weren’tdrooling,” Milo said.
“Ehh,” Cash said. “You were drooling a little.”
Riot leaned down and kissed me on the top of the head. “Glad you’re feeling better. And I’m glad we can all stop holding back and do whatever wewant.”
Whatever we want.
I liked the sound of that.
And based on the looks the three men on the bus were giving me?
They did, too.

Whatever we want.
If I was being totally honest, that’s what I’d been hoping for since Roxie joined us on tour. For this exact scenario. I hadn’t allowed myself to be too hopeful, since I knew it was unlikely, but that didn’t stop me from feeling it deep inside my bones.
We didn’t need to hold back anymore. We couldreallyhave some fun as a group.
Roxie took another day to get back to a hundred percent healthy, and then she and Milo went on their date in Denver. “I’m not like these other fools. I’m a romantic at heart.”
“You know what’sreallyromantic?” Cash replied sarcastically, putting his book down for a moment. “Bragging about being romantic. Women love that.”
“I bet you read that in a book,” Milo shot back. “While the rest of us were out getting laid.”
“Have fun you two,” Cash said, returning his attention to his book.
“Don’t do anything we wouldn’t do,” I added. “And if your date goes poorly and you need one of us to rescue you, give us a call. There are a lot of creeps out there. You can never be too careful.”
Milo flashed me his middle finger on the way out of the bus.
“They’re cute,” Violet said as soon as they were gone.
“And we’re not?” I asked.
She rolled her eyes. “Shut up. You know what I mean. And yes, you’re all adorable. It almost makes me miss our little polycule.”
“But not enough to go back to dick?”
“Hell no. I’m a monogamous woman, now. Besides, pussy is way better.”
“Amen to that,” Cash muttered from behind his paperback.
I was only mildly jealous of Milo going on a date with Roxie, but it was the healthy kind of jealous, spawning not from the fact that she was out with another man but from the fact thatIwanted to take her out on a date. Since she’d been sick, and since I was sick before that, it felt like years since we’d done anything fun. I craved her like an addiction.
And I wasn’t a patient man.
I heard them return from the date, their footsteps nearly silent as they walked to the back of the bus, sharing whispers and giggles. The bed creaked, the mattress shifting, and my ears perked up to listen to what they were doing.
But then I heard Roxie climb into her bunk, the privacy curtain zipping shut.
That made sense. Violet had instituted a strict no-sex-around-her policy. But I’d still wondered if Roxie and Milo would try to stretch the rules after the date.
The five of us got brunch together the next day, and everything felt so… normal. It should have been the opposite; Cash, Milo, and I were currently fucking Roxie, a situation we had previously done with Violet. But there was no awkwardness. Everyone was happy and friendly. The vibe was great.
