“Everything okay?” I ask, tilting my head back to look up at him.

“Oh, it’s fine. I kind of got in trouble.” A blush grows onto his cheeks.

“You? In trouble?” I gape at him. “What did you do?”

“I may have pointed out that something in his lesson was wrong. In front of the whole class.”

“Of course that's what you’d get in trouble for.” Nina snorts. “Sometimes you’re too smart for your own good.”

“I don’t think so.” I scoot my chair back and grab Blake around the waist, pulling him down into my lap. He comes willingly, but looks at me with wide, surprised eyes. I wrap my arms around him and rest my head on his shoulder. “I like how smart he is.”

Everyone at the table is openly staring at me.

“Okay, either this friendship has hit a whole new level or there’s something more going on,” Lexie says. “Please tell me I’m right.”

“Oh my god.” Nina’s eyes widen with glee. “Are you two dating?”

“I don’t know. Blake, are we dating?” I chuckle, looking up at Blake.

He blinks down at me and nods his head slowly, his cheeks flaming red now. Chuckling, I kiss both cheeks and the whole table erupts in squeals of joy.

“Oh my god. This is amazing. You two are so adorable!” Nina says. “I’m so happy for you. Why didn’t you tell me?!” She leans over and slaps her brother's arm.

“It’s new,” Blake defends himself.

“How long?” Ellie asks.

“I asked him to be mine on Halloween night.” I smile up at Blake. “Thank god he said yes. I’d probably have cried if not.”

“You would not,” Blake grumbles.

I snuggle in closer, tucking my face into his neck. I inhale and sigh happily, loving his scent. “I would have,” I whisper. “I happen to really like you, Blake. A whole hell of a lot.”

He melts into me and I smile into his neck.

“You two are so cute I want to puke.” Lexie groans.

“I’m so fucking happy!” Val squeals. “Okay, real question. Who’s the top and who’s the bottom?”

Blake just took a sip of juice as Val asks this question. The poor guy is taken by surprise and starts choking on it.

“You good?” I ask, rubbing his back.

“Yeah,” he rasps. “All good.”

“Val. What the hell?!” Lexie hisses. “You can’t just ask questions like that.”

“Why not?” Val asks. “We talk about sex all the time.”

“First of all, his sister is right there.” Lexie points to Nina.

“Yeah, I really don’t want to know about my brother's sex life.”

“There is no sex life,” Blake rushes to say.

“And two,” Lexie continues, “you always talk about your sex life. The rest of us don’t.”

“Wait,” Val says. “Nosex life?” She pouts. “That’s no fun.”
