“Not how that works, Val.” Tabitha, Val’s other friend, sounds like she’s done with her friend's shit. I don’t blame her.

“I licked him so he’s mine,” Val huffs, crossing her arms.

“No, you didn’t,” I point out. The crazy woman leans and runs her tongue up the side of my face.

“Now I did.” She gives me a smug look.

I gape at her in horror. She did not just do what I think she just did.

“Oh my god, Val!” Lexie gasps, pulling her away from me. “We talked about this. You can’t do shit like that. This is how you get restraining orders on you!”

“It was one time.” Val rolls her eyes. “And that asshole deserved the kick in the balls. He was looking at my tits!”

“He was reading your name tag.” Tabitha groans. “You worked at the coffee shop. He wanted to be polite.”

“That’s what he wanted people to think.” Val points her finger at her friend. “I saw it in those shifty eyes. He wanted the goods.” She lifts up her boobs, groping at them. “I don’t play that game, baby. I have two boyfriends already. Thank you very much. I don’t need any more.”

“Two?” I raise a brow. “Really?”

“What?” Val swings her gaze at me. “Something wrong with that?”

“No.” I shake my head. “It makes sense.”

“What do you mean?” She puts her hands on her hips.

“You’d need two guys to keep up with you, you’re a lot.” I shrug.

“He’s not wrong,” Lexie snorts.

“I mean, fair.” Val shrugs. “I am a lot to handle." Her expression turns wicked. “With my sex drive, I need two dicks to keep me going.”

“And that's enough with this line of conversation.” Lexie turns to me. “You don’t have to come to the game with us if you don’t want to.”

“He should go,” Val whines. “His sister is cheering, and he should be there to support her. Plus, he keeps avoiding me. How am I going to make him our new best friend if he won’t come near me?”

“Maybe try not harassing the poor guy?” Lexie points out.

“Where's the fun in that?” Val asks, like it’s a genuine question.

Val is wild. She’s odd as hell. But, I’m not going to lie, I’m kind of intrigued. She’s very entertaining, and knowing one of her best friends is Ellie, and the fact that she’s in a poly relationship herself, I know she’s not going to judge me or my sexuality.

If anything, she seems like the kind of girl who would go ten rounds to defend you. That's the kind of friend I need. The kind I have online, but not in real life.

Would it be so bad to maybe make some friends in person?

Oh god, who am I? Have I been abducted by aliens or something? I’m willingly agreeing to be friends with the crazy lady. This can’t go well. Not at all.

Yet, I surprise myself by saying, “I’ll go. I don’t really have other plans anyway.”

“Yay!” Val claps her hands together. “Want a ride home?”

“Sure.” I sigh in defeat. If I try to argue with her, I know she’s going to push until I agree.

Normally, someone like this would piss me off. While I do find her annoying, I also kind of love how straightforward she is. With Val, you know what you’re going to get.

Val chats my ear off the whole time. At least on this ride home, her friends are with us. Lexie tries to get a word in, but there’s no use.

When they drop me off at home, they let me know that they will be back in two hours to get me.
